Fantastic selection for The Tragically Hip!
November 30, 2017 at 4:55 am #492908Superb. There’s no simple explanation.
November 30, 2017 at 10:41 am #492919I approve of Canada 150 Week.

I got the soundtrack, and listened to the title song probably the most. It’s just so catchy! I heard it again a while ago and thought ‘Ya know what? This should be a custom!’ Although most instruments can be fairly repetitive, or not too challenging, this custom brings the engergy! I hope you all have as much fun playing this song as I do!Song count so far: 72Up next at November 30th, 2PM EST-20:00 CET is TheSheepQueen, who will 01000100 01100101 01101101 01101111 01101110 01110011 01110100 01110010 01100001 01110100 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01110000 01101111 01110111 01100101 01110010 00100000 01101111 01100110 00100000 01101111 01110101 01110010 00100000 01100110 01110010 01101001 01100101 01101110 01100100 01110011 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01101101 01100001 01100011 01101000 01101001 01101110 01100101 01110011November 30, 2017 at 11:11 am #492922The moment I’ve been waiting for!

It’s time to get electronic all over the place with these 4 very, very different hits! Starting off with Jean-Michel Jarre’s epic track that gives you chills in the back, part 4 of Rendez-Vous, the dude sets up a firework to this song during live performances! Next up is Waters Of Nazareth by French house band Justice, off their excellent debut album Cross. You may have heard this song on GTA IV if you’re not already familiar with its epic bassline. Followed by The Model by legendary men-machines Kraftwerk, one more song you can play without showing any emotion! And to round it all up, Satisfaction byThe RolliBenny Benassi, including pro bass, because you know, you’ve got to… Carry heavier instruments when you have experience ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />.Preview video:Song count so far: 76Up next at November 30th, 10PM EST-4:00 CET is Monsieur Le Prézident, avec la deuxième partie du final du Canada 150!November 30, 2017 at 7:14 pm #492932Satisfaction is cool. Loved the sexy music video back in the day.
All this French is making me want to dust out the old French I knowledge.
November 30, 2017 at 10:17 pm #492940Sorry, but I just GOTTA show my emotion for some Kraftwerk!!!
Which reminds me… I meant to search the database for Autobahn, but forgot.
Thanks, SheepQueen!

Canada 150 Week (Day Two) by MrPrezident!
Northern Pikes “She Ain’t Pretty”
Lead singer Bryan Potvin’s ode to a desperately attractive woman and his dismay at learning her beauty is merely skin deep – “a model from hell”.
Co-Authored by TheWay with assistance from OneManCoverBand
Pure “Anna is a Speed Freak”
Another sarcastic drugged out clan of Gen-X’ers, but funnier, smarter and catchier than the rest. The music video for Pure’s “Anna” was played in heavy rotation when Canada’s Much Music channel was at its peak. Perhaps the ultimate artifact from early 90’s Canadian culture, yet unrecognized.
With assistance from TheWay
Moist “Breathe”
Vancouver’s Moist were a fixture of Canada’s alt-rock scene in the 90’s. “Breathe” was their last single to break the top 10 in 1999.
Barenaked Ladies “If I Had $1,000,000”
Canada consumes more Macaroni and Cheese per capita than every other country on earth, and the term “Kraft Dinner” is both the product and common name for the dish. When Barenaked Ladies perform this duet live, they have traditionally been pelted from the audience with uncooked macaroni noodles.
Co-Authored by Spindoctor
Rusty “California”
Halifax’s Rusty unleash a signature 90’s slow rock jam with a wall of sound chorus that could give any Seattle band from the era a run for their money.
Odds “Heterosexual Man”
Vancouver’s Odds began their careers as the travelling band for Warren Zevon. “Heterosexual Man” has an infectious riff and mocks the stereotypical macho jock attitudes of the late 80’s. This song would probably cause a panic in 2017.
I’ll be back the same time tomorrow with the grand finale of Canada 150 week, and the final six songs for the Canada 150 project. Don’t worry I’ve saved some of the best for last.
Song count so far: 82

Keeping the content Canadian since 2017!

And my god, Anna is a Speed Freak is like someone distilled and bottled my college years. Seeing the Pikes makes me deliriously happy too. Very undervalued band. Would love to see Teenland from them someday too.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s mystery release so much. Excellent Can-rock curating all year long, Prez.
December 1, 2017 at 3:39 am #492952Rusty. Wow, never would have seen that one coming. I thought they were from Kentucky?
EDIT: Quick google search reveals that I was thinking of the ALBUM “Rusty” by the band Rodan. Will still check this band out, neato pack!
