I’m using Reaper 4.22 and Python 2.something.

 

I’m at the part where I open Actions and choose ReaScript New/Load, and it crashes Reaper.

 

I saw this link in another thread about the issue:

and I tried a few of the solutions, but none of them worked. Not that I have any idea what I’m doing.

 

I’m using Windows 10. Any advice?

It’s not CAT, it’s Reaper loading any action. You are better off asking on the Cockos forums.
