I really need to go through and make the script less sensitive to things that are out of place. The guy who developed it assumed everyone would be using the RBN template, that no one would import anything from GH or an external MIDI…bleh.

I can give tips on the main offenders. CARV tends to fail for any kind of error, almost.

The worst part is that a lot of them are just debug lines. There have been one or two cases where only the debug-printing has broken it, and commenting that makes it work.

I wanted to get this and the CAT working finally, but I can’t get “ReaScript” to show up under preferences. I have Reaper 3.78, Python 2.7, and I’m on Vista.

    You need Reaper 4.22.

Thanks. It works now. I guess it was time to upgrade. I’d been using 3.78 since the beginning because that’s what was in PKsage’s video, but I think I just might be familiar enough with it now to finally move on.

Real eager to try out CAT.

so i went & got reaper 4.22 for CARV & CAT because they seem to be very useful yet CAT doesn’t seem to work on the RPP i’m working on & CARV just does this when i try to use it…am i doing something wrong?

I get that error all the time, and I can’t remember what I usually do to fix it.

    Check/do the following things:

    – Make sure none of your vocals tracks are muted

    – Make sure you have phrase markers

    – Run “Remove invalid markers” in CAT (this one is most likely to fix it, I think)

Worst case, if we can’t get it fixed, we can go in and comment out that debug line.

still getting the same error, should i just upload the RPP so it can be looked at?

Yeah, I’ll take a look at it.

I’ll see if I can find time in the near future to scrap this piece of shit script (that I didn’t write!) and get the really important bits into CAT.

Using REAPER 4.22 and Python 2.7.6, getting this error whenever I try to open CARV.

You’re probably running it on a non-standard project, meaning a poject without the required tracks or with more tracks and with special chars in their name.

That’s weird, I’m pretty sure the project has all the right tracks in it. I couldn’t identify any problems in it, so I’ll just PM you the file.

    I don’t even have CARV installed so I wouldn’t bother. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

It says script execution error: no such file ordirectory.

    what do I do?
