Hi. I am new to all of this, but have now charted quite a few songs. Most of these are Frets on Fire conversions, though some are original. I chart guitar, primarily, but some songs have other instruments.
Part I: Classic Rock.
I started with a 60’s band, It’s a Beautiful Day. The group was founded by the LaFlammes – David (vocals, violin) and Linda (keys), and featured a singer, Pattie Santos, voted as the best female vocalist of 1968 by Piero Scaruffi on his Rock History web-site. Their first album was incredibly influential. For example, Ian Gillan, of Deep Purple, was so taken with an instrumental on the album, that he penned lyrics to it, and released it a year later, as … Child in Time.
Unfortunately, the LaFlammes split up, and Linda left the group. Then Santos was killed in a car wreck. The band is still around today, but, without Linda’s writing skills and Santos’ voice, the group faded into obscurity.
I charted two songs from that first album, and would like to do the entire album eventually.

This is a Frets on Fire conversion, charted originally by Narutostarwars 123456. I changed the guitar track quite a lot, added bass, and sideshow wrote a drum track, based on a Phaseshift chart by Oscarj08.

Guitar and bass by me, drums by Sideshow. Both of these are also available through Sideshow’s thread.

Part II: Hot Solos
These are three guitar-only conversions, and all feature amazing guitar solos. Two would be on many critics short lists of the greatest guitar solos of all time, and the third is by Buckethead – ’nuff said.

Rbcon: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0FHnxeCnFIjU1FYODJFZENObEk/edit?usp=sharingThis was charted, for Frets on Fire, by AlBelGim. I made only trivial changes.

Charted by Puppetz. I added a better quality audio, which led to some tempo mapping changes, but the chart is all his.

Another Puppetz chart, and this one was amazing. The hardest chart I have ever seen, and way beyond what any human could possibly play. Unfortunately, little of the chart was Rock Band Legal, so I had to rewrite almost everything. The result is easier, but still way beyond my skills as a player. Put it this way – if Devil Went Down to Georgia is a tad too easy for you, try this.

Dark Passion Play
Mustis666 (guitar) and Tadracing99 (drums) have charted six Nightwish albums for FOF. I have their charts, and plan on converting them all. I have done Dark Passion PlayPreview:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBMlySjNRb0
Rbcons: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0FHnxeCnFIjV3JSdFpEM3JQMVk/edit?usp=sharingA few comments: 1. Track three of the album is Amaranth, available through Harmonix, so I skipped that. For the sake of completeness, I replaced it with a live version charted by GhostByob. This is guitar only. There are no drums in the Islander song, and so no drum track. The other eleven tracks have drums and guitar.
2. I know nothing about drums, so the tracks are pretty much “as is”. I added fills, some toms, overdrive, and CAT reductions. Any help from drummers would be appreciated.
3. I put much more into the guitar charts. Nightwish songs often have very long stretches with no guitar at all, something that I find very boring as a player. When the silent stretches seemed too long, I charted in their orchestral strings for the guitar.Angels Fall First:

June 20, 2014 at 7:52 pm #423051Dear God that Dragonforce chart is a mess. Still pretty fun. 83% on my SR.
June 26, 2014 at 3:34 am #423473I wanted to mention that Nightwish “For the Heart I Once Had” doesnt show up in the album setlist because Nightwish is spelled Nigthwish. I’m recording a full album playthrough on Pro Drums right now. Should be on my youtube channel tomorrow.
Here is part 1 of 6. Fun album and its all 2X Bass Pedal.
June 26, 2014 at 3:50 am #423474i will add drums for lucky man, do you work with midi files?
June 27, 2014 at 9:11 am #423529“For the Heart I Once Had” information is now fixed. Thanks.
By the way – I just watched Sideshow’s video of Poet on drums. Nice job. That is a great song.
To Oscarj08: Sure. Post your midi file and I’ll add it.
July 1, 2014 at 5:52 pm #423774Lucky Man now has drums, charted by Oscarj08.

July 22, 2014 at 8:38 pm #425255I have added new customs and conversions. For conversions, I have a second full album by Nightwish, Angels Fall First. Once again, this is charted for drums by Tadracing99 and guitar by Mustis666 with many modifications for the guitar chart. Also, Joe Satriani’s Extremist, charted by GhostByob.
For new customs (which are all guitar only), there are four tracks by Jefferson Airplane – Good Shepherd, Today, Wooden Ships, and a live cover of White Rabbit by the Norwegian Metalists In the Woods.
Two tracks from Ennio Morricone: The extended opening of the film The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, and, from Once Upon a Time in the West, the Man with the Harmonica.
Another live cut from Dire Straits Alchemy – Romeo and Juliet.
Finally, the Allman Brothers In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, live.
July 22, 2014 at 9:09 pm #425256Yay! Angels fall first! Thank you so much for your work on the Nightwish albums!and the tracks of Ennio Morricone are awesome as well…great additions to our libraries ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> .
