So recently I ran into this error.

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (Prison Sex): Tempo marker at [119:4:000] (39.000015 bpm) is too slow; minimum is 40 bpm

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (Prison Sex): Tempo marker at [119:4:120] (33.000015 bpm) is too slow; minimum is 40 bpm
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (Prison Sex): Tempo marker at [119:4:240] (26.000004 bpm) is too slow; minimum is 40 bpm

Is there a way around this? I’ve tried increasing the bpm, but the then the notes are off. Not sure on what I should do.

The only way is to increase to 80Bpm and fix the chart accordingly. There’s a limit for it being too slow and too fast. if you put a 40bpm in game, everyone on stage will barely be moving, hell even 80bpm is very slow, but acceptable.

As for a simpler fix, if you can make absolutely sure there are no other issues with the midi, you can override it because the game itself has no problems with sub-40 BPM. If you search the forums you’ll find a guide on how to do that.

As for animations, since the animations follow the BEAT track and not the midi tempo, just make sure to double up on beat markers during the slow measures.

Unless you are very experienced (atupomaruru is, I’m addressing the OP here), NEVER do this. First make sure your song actually does go that slow, and then double the tempo if you still need.
