Sorry if this has been asked before, I’ve searched the forums and couldn’t find anything about it.
I’m authoring a song that ends with a load of noise and randomness that isn’t in any discernible tempo or rhythm, so I thought it would be a good place to use the Big Rock Ending. However, the noise just kind of peters out without a definite final hit.
I know that a BRE won’t score any points if it doesn’t have the final hit, but would that be okay to do just so it’s playable? I think the BRE will be much more realistic than trying to author the noise, even if it won’t end up scoring anything. Alternatively, I could try and edit a big downbeat from earlier in the song onto the end to artificially create a final hit, but I don’t know how effective that might be.
Any advice or suggestions on this would be appreciated, thanks! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Create an artificial hit, IMO. It’s what Harmonix chose to do, it’s what I usually do, though I never had to do that for guitar unless I had stems.
Thanks, I’ll give that a try and see how it plays ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
