Pffffftttttthahahahahahaha ohmygod my mind is still 12 years old sometimes…
Yeah I’m starting to get the ads too. They’re trying to get me to visit a few local marijuana dispensaries…hahaha how little they know me.
Again, this isn’t the only website I’m getting these ads on, so I sincerely doubt Mediafire has much to do with this. I’ve seen this happen before. Once in a while a wave of malicious ads will come in (even cutting right through Adblock) but eventually go away. Just don’t click them in the meanwhile. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
July 5, 2016 at 9:24 am #471579I used Google Drive for a while, but it was very unreliable. Switched to Mediafire.
July 5, 2016 at 1:52 pm #471589My biggest issue with MediaFire isn’t the ads, although they are obnoxious. My biggest issue is that I tend to batch download customs every couple of weeks. After a few back to back downloads, MediaFire then prompts for a captcha. Annoying.
July 5, 2016 at 3:41 pm #471592If things continue to get worse, we can always copy CONs to 5.25″ floppy disks and mail them to each other.
July 5, 2016 at 3:53 pm #471593What you talking about? This is the future!!
We’d obviously use CDs…

Y’know, that’s not a bad idea. I’ve still got a drive around here somewhere.
Oh wait, those hold like a megabyte and a half. Guess we’re limited to very short songs and horrible audio quality.

Yeah I really wish you didn’t have to use a pro account to bulk download. That’s probably the worst thing about Mediafire.

Rock Band 3 on the Wii it is!
(Just kidding, Wii owners. Mostly…) ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
July 5, 2016 at 8:54 pm #471610Well, if we convert the game art to ASCII, and convert the moggs to midi sounds, and keep the midi chart, that ought to fit a song per floppy. Heck, maybe even more than one song at a time. Not Dream Theater though.

Don’t worry. Nemo will build an app to cobble together the song fragments from multiple 5.25″ floppies.
That app will be distributed on a 3.5″ floppy, though. And it will only run on MS-DOS.
July 5, 2016 at 9:12 pm #471613July 5, 2016 at 9:35 pm #471614And coincidentally enough, I just got smacked with a malicious Mediafire ad. Suddenly my computer is blaring about how it’s been compromised and I can’t close the window because a login prompt has popped up on top and won’t go away. I had to kill that window via Task Manager.
Sitting in the lobby of an auto shop during that one moment I have my headphones unplugged was not a good time for that to happen.

Better than moaning.

Well there’s the answer to my question “Should I try and dual-boot Windows 10 and an assembly language OS.”

Very true. Very, very true.
