I just got Rock Band 4 for my Xbox One. I’m having a hard time figuring things out. I’ve seen other forums that say beginner’s can do a “beginner tutorial” to learn about stuff? I don’t see this as an option when play the game. Are they any other links or forums that I can find this information out?

There’s no tutorial in bare bones RB4.

 

What’s hard to figure out? Here’s what I can think of that isn’t obvious:

– Vocals: To get the highest scores, activate overdrive with the two-square button instead of shouting. Activate at the very last second you can (“squeezing”), hopefully before a bunch of short phrases. Figuring the optimal path (i.e., where to activate) is sometimes tricky.

– Guitar/Bass: You can leave lower frets held down with one finger and press higher frets with another (“anchoring”). For example, if you see green-red-green, you could hold down green with your index finger and strum, keep it held, then hold down red with your middle finger, strum, release just the middle finger, and strum the final green.

– Guitar/Bass: In solos, you can press the frets without strumming.
