Hey all,
So I was hoping to get this done yesterday (4/20 for future me who forgot he wrote this and has no idea when “yesterday” was but then realizes he can just look at this post’s date and now is typing a needlessly long sentence) but I thought I still had a few days on 4/19 when I realized what the next day was.
So lo and behold, my fastest-charted song yet. Again, supposed to be a theme for 4/20 but I missed the date (sorry guys!). Too bad the song isn’t eight seconds longer…that would’ve been amusing.
So here it is, off of Smash Mouth’s Astro Lounge and the first of many Smash Mouth songs to come, “Stoned”!

As you all know, there’s this pretty awesome show called “House of Customs”, produced by none other than C3’s own Farottone. As a lucky viewer and previous participant in the show I was delighted when I was offered this press release of the upcoming season 1 finale. This is supposed to go public on the 9th but I hate waiting so I decided I’m gonna sneak it out to you guys because I feel you deserve it you wonderful viewers! House of Customs season 1 finale revealed: in an epic 2 part episode spanning season 1 and season 2, Elton John will guest star for an amazing total of 18 songs.
On May 12th the House of Customs season finale will guest star British legend, multi-platinum artist with a 5 decade and 300 million records sold career Elton John. Red Piano (pt. 1) will bring 9 of his greatest hits full band plus more bonus songs and will leave viewer wanting for even more! The episode in fact ends with a cliffhanger that will keep fans on the edge of their seats until September when season 2 kicks off with another episode guest starring the most popular piano artist in the world.

If this is an Elton-centered pack, I think the ambiguity of the ending of “Rocket Man” would be a great cliffhanger to leave on.
And too bad HMX has already done it, because the opener of season 2 would naturally have to have been “The Bitch is Back”

Pretty sure butterfly is a reference to “Someone Saved My Life Tonight” (per the lyrics).
