Hi guys,
I have been reading through these forums but I could not find an answer to my specific questions. I hope I am in the right place to ask that question:
I was wondering whether it’s possible to backup (and restore) the song cache of RB3 on a PS3.
My idea is to connect to the internal HDD via FTP and simply backup the cache folder but I have not been able to determine the correct folder.
The background for my question is:
Rockband keeps detecting 467 new songs each time I start the game and select “Quick Play”. Obviously something is wrong with my song cache.
Before simply deleting the game cache I would like to perform a backup in case it turns out that deleting the game cache has an impact on the game which I don’t like (i.e. missing song ratings or score).
Thanks in advance and all the best

The PS3 version never saves the cache, so whatever’s going on has nothing to do with it. That number from the red loading bar is not the number of songs, but the number of dta files it’s reading, but to answer to your initial question: no one has retrieved the PS3 cache.
You are about to leave Rhythm Gaming World and access the external songs DB. While no song or file sold for commercially available videogames is hosted there and only fan generated content is allowed, Rhythm Gaming World has no direct control over the database and no files are hosted here. Alright, we had to made you aware of this, now you can visit the database!
