Yes, do NOT. No Weird Al is planned at this time.
August 23, 2014 at 11:24 pm #427793Thank you so much for the Crimson. The versions out there before had bad audio sources and charting errors that I was gonna correct but you surpassed my wildest fantasies for this album ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

Yes I understand. If you do however , do another Al pack it needs Jurassic Park and UHF.
You know , I was going to say where on the planet is Trumpy but my dream came true. Now , please tell me it is not a C3 mix?
Nothing has been cut or altered from this version of the song.
Good to hear. Any chance we can get the original version of Good Grief?

August 24, 2014 at 4:54 am #427805Tried downloading one of the rb3con files and converting them to Phase Shift. Didn’t work because the .mogg is apparently encrypted. That means I have to wait for Phase Shift files to pop up in the DB, right?

August 24, 2014 at 3:18 pm #427821Wow, I bet Moonchild was hard to chart. That thing is insane.

Everything that is different. I didn’t notice a lot though. I was too busy doing the insane guitar.

Take another crack on it, and pay attention to how little is actually different. In fact, the only part affected is part five, which was shortened a little bit at the very end.
August 25, 2014 at 8:04 am #427865I noticed that Epitaph had a custom ending to it. You’re aware that in the 40th Anniversary Edition release, there was a backing track of that song as one of the bonus tracks, right? If not, then that backing track happened to have an ending of its own there. Just curious: why did you guys create a new ending instead of using the one from that backing track?
Edit: on top of that, why are many of the notes on guitar HOPOs instead of strumming notes? I think they’re slow enough that merely charting them as strumming notes could maintain playability.

Because the songs have very slow tempo maps.
Rock Band will display any note that is less than 170 ticks away (by default) as ho/pos. 170 ticks is just a little slower than 1/8th triplets, so in layman’s terms, essentially everything faster than 8th notes get marked as ho/pos.
It is possible to change them, either manually or adjusting the ho/po threshold in Magma. But sometimes it’s just better to leave them as it is.

August 26, 2014 at 7:16 pm #427999Those King Crimson charts are bonkers (in a great way). Nice job!
August 27, 2014 at 3:25 pm #428084I just want to say that the King Crimson pack is probably in the running for my favourite pack this year.
Now, there’s a lot I can say about my favourite aspects of each of the songs, the fast parts 21CSM, the unique improve section of MoonChild, etc.
But the one thing that really stood out for each of the songs is the lighting.
Now, a few people will think it’s a weird choice as people who play Rock Band don’t generally pay attention to stuff like lighting, camera angles, etc. They just want to know if the chart is fun to play and that’s perfectly reasonable.
But, for me, one of the things I love about playing certain songs in Rock Band is how the lighting fits into the atmosphere of a particular song.
I was playing this album on Fri with the lights off and when it got to the fake out ending of TCOTCK and the way the effects started to build as the keys came in and then the whole band started again for the outro, I was damn near emotionally drained. Why? Because the lighting complemented the song perfectly.
It’s always the smallest details that make all the difference and I can’t thank BearzUnlimited enough for going the extra mile to making those little things stand out the most.
