has anyone else had any success playing this song without locking up? I got it off the xboxISO link to 900+ songs
additionally, the links to Cochise and Be Yourself were switched as well.
You could try extracting and re-packing the con file with C3 Con Tools, it’s a fairly simple process.

thanks for the advice!
unfortunately I tried that last night and still no success. still locks up during the loading animations.
though when I sorted songs by “date added”, Cochise was not at the top of the list. perhaps deleting the cache? would that have anything to do with a song loading?
Not to my knowledge. I’ll test out my copy this weekend and if it works (I honestly can’t remember if I’ve gotten around to playing that one) I’ll PM you a link.

I have a guitar/drums version of Cochise that I will test. If it works I’ll upload it here.
UPDATE: Your right. The song loads in the library but when you try to play it the game locks up while loading song. This song was probably made many years ago. I ran the con through the C3 tools midi cleaner and it found 303 errors and fixed them although when I tried playing it again it still didnt work. I think possibly the midi needs to be ran through Magma again. If somebody can explain how to fix these old files please do.
What seems like the problem with Cochise and some other customs (including a custom of Grand Theft Autumn by Fall Out Boy on the repository) is that there’s no milo_xbox file in the gen folder. You can see this issue when cracking the CON open in C3 CON Tools. The game reads it perfectly fine, but when you try to play it, it doesn’t find the milo_xbox file and everything dies in a big ball of fire and kittens. Yes, kittens. The 360’s true insides are an enigma. So what you or someone else has to do, ’cause I can’t be arsed to, is extract the MIDI and MOGG from C3 CON Tools, clean up the MIDI for any potential charting issues, and run it through Magma C3 to make a proper CON WITH a milo_xbox file. It sounds simple, it really ain’t.
Hope you could solve this and post for all.
