And here’s another Undertale custom! Been sitting on this one for a long time but never really got around to finishing it until now. Just another track that’s pretty fun all around without being too difficult.

** LoreRD & Aviators – Constellations (LoreRD Remix) *
Songs with an asterisk (*) next to them also have pro guitar as well as pro bass charted.

Been finishing a lot of stuff this week. Don’t get too used to it, I just had some sudden motivation to finish some customs that had been close to being done for way too long ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
Some of you might remember my custom of Friendship I did about a year ago. Well this one is by the same original artist and the same remixer as well. While it is a less challening song overall than Friendship, it does have a pretty insane section during the guitar solo. Especially on pro guitar.

Here’s another interesting bundle of songs, this time from four different visual novel games. A thanks to egead who helped me with playtesting and gave me a lot of good feedback on the drums chart for Kira Kira. He has done some pretty top quality customs as well, often with some crazy and impressive venue work, so by all means go check out his customs if you haven’t already!
Updates to earlier releases:
** LoreRD & Aviators – Constellations (LoreRD Remix)
I realized that I accidentally placed the vocals during the last chorus of the song an 8th note early, which obviously made it quite weird to sing especially if you didn’t notice. This has been fixed now so make sure to download the new version if you plan on playing it on vocals.

It was pointed out to me that this custom was breaking things. I looked into it and it’s because you’re using (v2) in the internal name. Don’t use ( or ) when naming your files (it’s fine on the song name or artist name). Rename to just v2 and recompile and re-upload.
Thanks.

That’s rather unfortunate, since I’ve been using that naming convention for all of my updates. Also since I’ve never noticed any problems myself I never questioned whether or not parentheses were acceptable in internal names. Well, if it’s causing issues I suppose I better fix it for all customs that would be affected.

Some of you may remember that I promised way back in April there would be more K-On tracks coming. I suppose it did take a while but hey, at least you can’t say I don’t keep my promises. ghostbyob was awesome enough to help getting these finished by charting guitar and bass for U&I and Utauyo!! MIRACLE. GO! GO! MANIAC is based on the RB2 custom made by 13NERD/microgamer2vs2, with pro keys added by Linos Melendi.
And as a more unorthodox addition to the customs database, here’s Andrea Romano playing Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata! This is one of my favorite musical pieces of all time and I remember charting a midi version of this as one of my first customs ever back when Frets on Fire still was new. But this time it’s no midi version, but a performance by Andrea Romano that is used for the custom. The right hand is charted to keys and the left hand is charted to bass.
A few notes on the keys charts: I respect the hard rule of no chords spanning more than an octave on pro keys, but in my mission of making this iconic piece feel as accurate to play as is possible within the limits of Rock Band 3, I’ve elected to keep a few chords that span a 9th on expert. As for legacy keys, this is the first custom for which I’ve added force hopo markers so that the song would work well when played on a guitar controller. I can highly recommend playing the 3rd movement this way, it works really well and the chart is much like what you would expect from a shred guitar song… even though it’s actually a piano you’re playing along with.
December 19, 2016 at 5:04 pm #479005Thank you so much for doing something like Beethoven!
December 19, 2016 at 8:23 pm #479013Isn’t there already a version of Moonlight Sonata on RBN? Has a part on Bass, if I recall.

There is another version of the first movement available through RBN. I’m really not a big fan of it since it’s a computer generated version that really just sounds incredibly flat and also the pro keys chart isn’t really accurate compared how the song is supposed to be played. It also does not have bass, only keys/pro keys.

Hey, I heard you guys liked Art of Life. So I thought I’d start the new year off with another song by X Japan. This one wasn’t quite the enormous undertaking that Art of Life was, but I’ve wanted this in Rock Band for ages and so I finally decided to get it done. Here’s to another year for the customs community keeping Rock Band 3 alive with new great songs to play every day!
January 4, 2017 at 3:45 am #479803Real glad to see more X Japan!
*psst hint* I’d love to get some of the more agressive-but-symphonic songs like Silent Jealousy
January 4, 2017 at 5:11 am #479807Can I say I love you??? 😂😂😂😂
Well I love X Japan and this is a great way to start 2017!!!
Look forward to playing this song.
Saludos!
January 4, 2017 at 11:52 pm #479834It’s great to see some more X Japan songs in Rock Band. Great job!
If I have to nitpick, I watched the
and there were a few things I noticed, specifically on vocals.
For example, “The dream is over” line at 4:25 has harmonies that isn’t charted.
Also, there are harmonies from 5:29 until the end of the song that aren’t charted either.
Like I said, these are just tiny nitpicks, but otherwise, you’ve done a great job with these songs and I can’t wait for you to chart more X Japan songs in the future!

Oh by all means nitpick, I do make mistakes and I appreciate when people point them out so they can be fixed.
I see what you mean and I’ll try to get an update out tomorrow, if not then in a few days. Thanks for your feedback ^^
January 5, 2017 at 8:23 pm #479866Updates to earlier releases:
** Christopher Tin – Baba Yetu (ft. Soweto Gospel Choir & Royal Philharmonic Orchestra) [Pro Guitar Update]
____________________________
Endless Rain had some harmonies that I missed charting that have now been added, thanks again to TrowaAyanami for pointing that out. As for Baba Yetu, I’ve found myself playing pro guitar and pro bass more and more lately, and I’ve been wanting to add them to some of my old releases since I very rarely charted them back then. I’ll be focusing on updating the easier songs that are within the range of what I’m actually capable of playing first, such as Baba Yetu, which is definitely among the easier guitar/bass songs I’ve made.
I’ll also be taking this opportunity to fix some mistakes I’ve noticed in some of my releases. Baba Yetu had some phrases that weren’t capitalized properly and the improper timing of the phrases caused the lyrics to show up weirdly with static lyrics on; both issues have been fixed in this new version.
