I am sorry, but what is this? Do you mean the entire album is getting remixed for it’s anniversary? That’s awesome! I can’t wait to check them out!

 

Edit: Damn the ultimate box set is $150 Music sounds great though!

What I’ve heard so far is that the new mix is not very interesting. Very conservative, sometimes more mono than stereo for ‘historical reasons’. No different from other recent Beatles reissues. Disappointing, really, as the recordings are quite good quality.

Me! I have the 2CD pre ordered. The remixed sound amazing, I’m also excited of the previously unreleased content.

So excited! Finally the greatest album of all time is getting the mix it deserves.

I’m excited for the deluxe box, but not necessarily the remix. From what we’ve seen/heard so far, the remix features modern stereo remixes based on the original mono mix (faster She’s Leaving Home, slower Lucy in the Sky, etc.) and a lot of Beatles fans swear by this version but I just don’t like it as much as the original stereo mix.

 

I am really excited for all the unreleased material and session outtakes that’ll finally see the light of day though.
