I’ve seen a few alternate versions of existing songs from Rock Band itself and DLC, and I was wondering if it’s really allowed. Because they have “Animal” and “Pour Some Sugar On Me” both live by Def Leppard, for example, and, like most people, I enjoy the studio versions much better. Is that allowed? Same with Nirvana’s “Lithium” Live At Reading and “Come As You Are” Unplugged Live In New York? Just asking out of curiosity, of course to maybe attempt to chart them myself.
Also, if it’s an alternate version, like a remix or just an alternate in general. Because there’s a few alternate versions of Bob Marley songs that I like, and remixes of White Zombie songs I like as well. Is this allowed here too? Thank you.
It’s allowed, as long as you don’t rip content off the originals (MIDI file, namely).
