Awesome! I know there’s already lots of Foo Fighters custom, but this one I always liked and wondered why it wasn’t done before <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

LATEST UPDATE 5/27 – The Guess Who – Share the Land

    wk82DTk.jpg

    GUITAR/BASS: bsbloom

    VOCALS: Atruejedi

    STANDARD KEYS: Bansheeflyer

You don’t know how happy I am to finally have this one released. I did the drums almost 4 years ago. Guitar came 2 years ago and vocals 1 year ago. Keys were the last hold up and that was a task for all involved let me tell you but at long last it’s out and the message of the song is as timeless today as it was 50 years ago. Please enjoy and let the others authors know if you like it!

Just on sail on by, sail on by… Ain’t it the life. There Is Nothing Left To Lose is a perfect album for me, and this is one of the highlights. Strong summer-vibes out of this one. Thank you!

LATEST UPDATE 5/28 – Frank Zappa – Wet T-Shirt Nite

    A8q0vQJ.jpg

    GUITAR: SteveHasAMustache

    DRUMS: MrBurpler

“Wet T-Shirt Nite” illustrates Mary’s downward moral spiral. After following a rock band as a groupie for a few weeks (she was “the girl stuck to seat 38 on Phydeaux III” — the name of Zappa’s tour bus), she was dumped in Miami. Having no money, she enters a wet T-shirt contest in order to win 50 dollars to get home.
The track is split in two parts. First is the song itself, sung by Ike Willis, a quirky pop tune with a typical odd-rhythm break and cynical lyrics aimed at the Miami bar entertainment scene, so to speak. Then comes the “contest” part, a dialogue between Buddy Jones aka Father Riley, the master of ceremony (Zappa), and Mary (Dale Bozzio), backed by a bar band groove spiced up with funny cues to illustrate the subject discussed. Mary sounds completely disoriented, stupid, and willing to do anything for her 50 dollar bill. Of course, the song shows how music can drive you to low moral standards.

I have a hard time watching the state of the world at all times but this past week in my own country has been utterly devastating and heartbreaking. I decided to try and make a custom in one day to describe my feelings. We’ll see if I can do it by the close of business today. Stay tuned and wish me luck.

LATEST UPDATE 6/1 – Rufus Wainwright – Going to a Town

    iVwhKPP.jpg

    STANDARD KEYS: MrBurpler

I charted this song in less than 24 hours because I was compelled by what I’m watching every night in my country. I felt this song is an appropriate ode to the times we live in. I hope and pray that the world can and will do better in the coming months and years but the need for reflection and systemic change will be crucial. END OF RANT.

“Going to a Town” is considered to be among the angriest lyrics Wainwright has written, an “indictment of the country of his birth that hinges on the refrain, ‘I’m so tired of you America'”. The political track, which Wainwright claimed he wrote in just five minutes on the eve of his departure for Berlin, confronts the Bush administration’s perceived damage to the U.S. in the form of a love song.

LATEST UPDATE 6/2 – Moonpools and Caterpillars – Hear

    fk8hppG.jpg

    GUITAR: EchoOfMystery

Moonpools and Caterpillars was a Filipino indie pop band that first formed in 1987. They had a mildly successful hit in 1995 with their single “Hear”, which was featured in the cult 1996 Disney TV film Wish Upon a Star. This delightful power pop gem is pure 90’s nostalgia and I hope you enjoy going down memory lane with me.

LATEST UPDATE 6/4 – Little Richard – I Feel Pretty

    KSgwbvJ.jpg

    VOCALS: BornGamerRob

    KEYS: EmotionalFlight

    GUITAR: BassSinger313

Three of the musical titans of the 20th Century; Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim and Little Richard met, in musical spirit at least, when Little Richard recorded the Bernstein and Sondheim written “I Feel Pretty,” for the 1996 multiartist compilation, “The Songs of West Side Story.” And, needless to say, Little Richard turns the standard into an uproarious good time. Rest in peace good sir.
