I didn’t find answers to both of them so I should start the question itself.
1. Let’s say I’ve completed a MIDI for both standard and 2x drums. Does Magma have that 2x tick box, so does the generated CON be the 2x version? And if I do not check this box 2x, the generated CON will be standard version? or do i have to mute each respective track to get a desired version?
2. Now it’s about the difficulty in general except expert. The minor difficulties of the 2x version also have fast bass drums or is this just for the expert?

If you stick to RBN reductions rules, I am quite sure your E/M/H drums will be the same whether you start from a x1 or x2 bass drums X track.
January 16, 2020 at 10:32 pm #5092571. Magma has option 2xbass pedal to tick. I think it changes output name to one with 2xbass pedal. Not ticking this option will not make any action to your chart i think. While exporting midi mute the track you dont want to export.
2. The way you make reductions i believe is in your personal opinion. But i think that serious 2xbass drumming should be only on expert difficulty.
I’m no expert tho..

It is about the 2x bass drums check box that I have serious doubts. If I check, will 2x bass drums mode be triggered in the game? The same goes for the other way around, if I don’t mark … will the chart be in its default mode?
January 17, 2020 at 1:33 am #509260If you check the box Magma will make 2 CON files. One with your 1x version and one with your 2x version.
1x version should have track name PART DRUMS while 2x version should have track name PART DRUMS_2x (It’s been a long time so I hope I got them right lol).

This is the right answer. Good show Alternity. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
For the 2nd question, you have to reduce the bass using CAT or doing it by hand. I prefer by hand, which is pretty easy.

The game doesn’t have a 2x bass mode. You either have a 2x bass song or not. If you want both, you need to have two songs. That’s why RBN songs you could actually buy the 1x and the 2x version of songs and you had to pay for each. The whole point of ticking it on Magma is so that the file is named accordingly and in the game you’ll see 2x in the name. That’s it. I do think I added the ability to include both 1x and 2x in the MIDI and Magma will separate and compile two songs for you at once – but the end result is two separate songs. No matter how you go about it.
January 17, 2020 at 5:43 pm #509275That is correct Nemo. Magma will make two separate CONS, 1x & 2x.

hey, within the TRACK NAMEs right?, what’s the difference with 1X and 2X pedals within charts?
January 23, 2020 at 4:13 pm #509358By track name I mean the track name MIDI event that happens at the start of a Rock Band MIDI track.
The difference between a 1x and 2x charts is simply that 1x charts uses 1 pedal and 2x uses 2 pedals. Anything that is too fast for 1 pedal will be removed for the 1x version while the 2x version will have every bass pedal notes.
