How about “Life In a Northern Town” by Dream Academy?
I’ve thought about that one a lot. In my experience, strings don’t map well to guitar – the attack is much looser, and it doesn’t end up feeling like you’re playing it. The oboe is pretty prominent too, and there are keys at the same time, which introduces another disconnect.
