I know this section is for customs, but I didn’t see a forums section for official DLC troubleshooting, so I figured this was the next best place to post this. So around five years ago, I got ahold of both the Rock Band 1 and 2 exports before they expired, (sadly missed out on Lego and Green Day), and didn’t notice any issues for a while, but while taking a look at my song goals, I noticed that one song seemed to be missing entirely. Creep by Radiohead from RB1. I tried deleting my song cache, but to no avail, and even re-exported the songs from the RB1 disc again, still with no results. I have well over two hundred custom songs and some official DLC (and some that is technically official, but had to be converted to customs due to no longer being available officially) along with a few Harmonies upgrades.
I feel like something may be causing some of the songs to not appear, but am unaware of what it could be, since Creep works in Rock Band Blitz (haven’t been able to test if it works in RB2 yet), it seems to be isolated to RB3, which I have heavily customized, but not J-TAGed. I also tried deleting the song itself and replacing it with a newer file of the same track, but this also accomplished nothing. Any help is appreciated, as while it isn’t a massive deal to me, I would like to have all of the DLC I got legit in one place, and if any of the unofficial stuff I happen to have might be causing it, I’d like to weed it out to restore all of the RB1 exported tracks.
November 13, 2020 at 10:34 pm #515029There may be a song_id conflict. I had a similar issue with 4 tracks from RB2 export. For some reason when I packed all songs into a single pack and booted it up, 4 songs were missing. I took everything off my hard drive and just loaded the 4 missing songs and they all worked fine. Put the pack back on and had those 4 missing again. Edited the dta file for those 4 and added a number to the end of their song_id. Repacked those 4 songs into the big pack and all songs showed up.
For some reason, once I started adding customs and exports, and repacking official songs, there were 4 songs from RB2 that were conflicting with 4 other songs from RB2 even though nothing had been edited.
Recommended approach would be to move all songs to a flash drive, and just load the 1 song that won’t show up, delete cache, and boot up game. If it loads, it may be an id conflict.

I’ll probably have to try that at some point. It might require me to get another flash drive, since the two I mainly use are for customs and harmonies upgrades only. I’ll let you know if anything changes once I get the chance to try it out.
