The site finally came back up, whoag. Just making this post to say I WAS THE FIRST PERSON THAT MADE A COMMENT/NEW THREAD AFTER THE MAINTENANCE HA SUCK IT LOSERS Um, well, the site as it is, well, it’s still being set up it seems, so yeah, I got nothing else to say.
Edit: Whoa, submitting a thread actually worked. Sorry mods if I just made the server slightly explode by being ahead of everyone when the site isn’t even fully back.
Edit 2: Remember to request Teenage Dirtbag 2020 at http://www.harmonixmusic.com/games/rock-band/request/

October 6, 2020 at 7:10 am #514461Hi.
The sysadmin of the (very old) server this all runs on finally had to migrate to new hardware, which meant upgrading a bunch of critical dependencies. One of those was switching to PHP 7, which meant I had to update all of this to Invision Community 4, which broke all of the custom styling — especially the customs DB.
Unfortunately, I am super not in this scene anymore and won’t have time to do many significant improvements. I’ll try to do some small things to make it more usable, but other admins will have to step in for any proper changes. Assuming they have the time.
I know this sucks, and I’m sorry. ” data-emoticon=”true” src=”

(like trying to fix it, navigation is fine but could use a lot of adjustments)

I know it’s taking time, I’m pretty patient with this stuff, so it’s fine, as long as y’all get it to how ya want it!
Also, I will say, I like the new feature where if someone replies to a thread of yours it tells you they replied instantly.

October 6, 2020 at 10:55 am #514467I’m glad it’s back👻
October 6, 2020 at 1:29 pm #514469I suppose the customs database has been brought down again for maintenance/improvements, at least I cannot access it?
I had the chance to take a glimpse at it as it was up a few hours ago. It seemed to feature a much more extensive search/filtering than before, but it didn’t seem immediately obvious to use, as when I tried to for example select customs with Pro Keys, it actually returned nothing as it was assuming I wanted all other parameters to be empty. It also lost all the upload dates apparently (everything was shown uploaded on 1.1.1970) and of course all the nice icons we’re used to for immediately checking what instruments are included without having to navigate into the custom’s own page. Well this is the kind of thing I’ve seen almost everytime a forum website updates to a new platform, it must be a pain to make everything work, and some of the old features might be lost forever.
On the other hand, the forums themselves look cool.
October 6, 2020 at 4:11 pm #514474ahh!! changes!!
October 6, 2020 at 4:34 pm #514475The more important question: Were all of the customs intact?
If the database returns, will all of the customs will be there? Obviously, their dates won’t be accurate as stated and I’m not sure if we can see what instruments are in the custom but I want to make sure all of the customs are okay. Like we can still download them and they will appear in the database.
Until the database returns, I guess everyone has to upload their customs in their own forums. Then when the database returns, we can upload them to the database. I wonder how the new database will look like?

From when the database was briefly online earlier, all of the database entries were present and in the same order as before the site went down. Download links were also working from what I was able to test.

Based on the information shared with us thus far we have no reason to believe any data has been lost. Configurations, design & themes are obviously broken but none of those things affect databases
October 6, 2020 at 6:51 pm #514479Phew! What a relief! As long as customs are intact, I am satisfied.
October 6, 2020 at 6:55 pm #514480AnonymousI would just like to understand why to change basically everything on the website. wouldn’t it be more convenient to try it out by creating a new website? to then make the applications in that. in short, we have this downgrade waiting for something improved, I still hope.
