Would absolutely love if someone could put this one together!

Only other requests I have is a bit of an obscure one – “Sleepwalker” by The Wallflowers, and a Less Than Jake track – “The Science Of Selling Yourself Short”.

    Thank You!

    Edit 08/07/20

Just wanted to add one more to my request list – could have sworn this was already done, but can’t find it now, “The Last DJ” by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

    Thanks again!

I have plans to do 6th Avenue Heartache, Look What Happened, and History of a Boring Town, if that means anything <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Lol – 100% it does – all songs I love as well. I just wish I had the skills to do these – but I definitely do not.

I’ll look forward to playing those at some point though!

The Baez version has been on my “to-do” list for a while.

Excellent show called The Last Waltz(1978) on AXS right now showcasing The Band with numerous guest singers. Fantastic piece of concert history.

The Last Waltz was supposed to be the Band’s farewell performance, that is, the actual “last” waltz. But then most of the band outside of Robbie Robertson decided they wanted to keep going after all. Robertson was the principle songwriter but not the principle singer, so it’s debatable how much say he should have had in the Band continuing without him.

More trivia: The Last Waltz concert video and accompanying documentary were directed by Martin Scorsese.

True – only just found out recently as well that Bob Dylan was on his Rolling Thunder Revue tour at the time, and initially didn’t want to be included in the filming, as he was also having his own concerts filmed (which he was himself Directing as part of his movie “Renaldo & Clara” with Joan Baez). Robbie Robertson convinced him to go on stage anyway, and they would cut him out if he preferred (which he eventually signed off on staying in.

The documentary / concert film of Rolling Thunder Revue that eventually came out (in 2019) – also directed by Scorsese.

Just resurrecting this one 3 and a bit years later…. with Robbie Robertson passing away, I’d love to see this, or really anything The Band related coming out…
