      SOLVED:

I’m making previews using the Dolphin Wii Emulator, but I’m noticing my lighting cues don’t seem to be showing up. They show up fine in my PS3. All I see on Dolphin is some flashes (like strobe) but nothing else (no colors). Does anyone know what’s going wrong? I’m in a big venue, so that’s not it. I also don’t hear the audience go nuts with applause at the end, where they should be (and do in PS3). Is the wii version just that crappy, or what do I need to fix?

      -No lighting (except some strobes).

-No audience applause at the end (and probably not at the beginning).

      Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Could this be a settings issue with the game, or with Dolphin? I have Gecko codes in. Could Fast Startup be the culprit? I haven’t figured out what the even does. I also have Never Video Venues V3 on. (I do not have Concentration Mode on.)

EDIT 2: Turned off Fast Startup, and tried a song with 1 player. Lighting worked. Not sure which was the issue yet.

EDIT 3: The lighting works on smaller venues, not bigger ones. My guess is Fast Startup wasn’t the issue, and 4-player wasn’t, either. I turned off Never Video Venues V3 to see if that’s it…

EDIT 4: Yup, works fine with Never Video Venues V3 turned off and Fast Startup back on, 4 players. Big venues now show lights. Odd that I don’t hear the audience applause at the end, though. Oh well.

Big venues have problems with lighting effects on the Wii/Dolphin. For example, if you use the strobe lighting effect… it never turns off.

Damn, good to know. I prefer the big venues, but I’ll have to keep that in mind when making more video previews. Thanks!

Medium is the way to go. Small venues lack options. I use the force-venue cheat and select my venue based on the mood of the song I’m making the preview for.

Here are some helpful links: the force venue cheat codes and a gallery of the venues. Thanks should go to StackOverflow0x <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Oh that’s great! I’m glad someone made those codes! I wish I could have them for my PS3, honestly…

              Thanks to both of you!
