Not sure why but when I try to play notes authored as HOPOs (forced or otherwise) – simply pressing the buttons on the guitar neck without strumming does nothing at all….. why is this?

Do you press them individually or is the very use of hopos meant to require you to hold more than one button down at the same time as others lifting off each whilst holding the other(s) down…?

I am using a Guitar Hero controller, would that make any difference…?

You still must hit the note prior and then timing in rock band is much more sensitive then guitar hero. I had a hard time at first going from guitar hero to rock band, ho/pos being one of the main frustrations, but I am finally used to it.

and if you miss one, you have to hit the strum bar again (even on a hopo) to “activate” the hopos again.

I have uploaded my latest effort to the customs DB – ‘The Scratch’ by The Scorpions.. could I ask one of you proficient at HOPOs to have a go at the guitar solo which has many HOPOs and tell me if you think it plays / is authored, correctly please…?

If not, some feedback would be greatly appreciated… thank you.

Well – did you preview it in Reaper first? The entire 2nd verse is one big HO/PO – I mean every note. And then there are alot of places where there are HO/POs that shouldn’t be and vice versa. It’s also very undercharted, meaning alot of missing notes. I would work in Reaper a bit more, especially with preview on so you can see which notes are indeed HO and which are not.

I’d be happy to test it for you, or even have a look at the project if you need help.

I do work and have always worked in Reaper with Preview… I had no idea notes were undercharted…

I will PM you a copy fo the project if you would be so kind and I can compare with mine when you are done to see where I am going wrong.. that would be a great help, thanks..

Give me an hour or so to sort this for you,

it’s better that you’ll overlap the HOPO Marker to made it possible in the game
