I’m having an issue with songs where if I replace the CON file with a new one that has the same song ID, even though the old data is gone, the old version of the song still remains.
The song I am trying this with is As Tears Go By by Avenged Sevenfold
I helped update the song and so I replaced the CON file on my USB stick and the game still plays the old version even though it is nowhere to be found
Your song cache has to be deleted and remade because it has the data of the first custom, if that doesn’t work, I don’t know then
I already deleted the cache. Problems persist.
This happened with a custom of my own from a while back. I have deleted it from my USB drive, deleted cache and put the song back on there months later and still, the game doesn’t think it has vocals when the updated version does.
I always just change the song ID.
Yeah. I’ve had to compile the song myself using the project files that I was sent and give it a new song ID for it to work.
Chainging the song ID is essentially the same as resetting the cache for the purpose of loading new data for a song that was already there.
If resetting the cache didn’t work you have some weird issue, or what you did is not resetting the cache but something else.
I deleted the Rock Band 3 Song Cache file on my HDD

As far as I understand the X360 can have the cache in the HDD and the USB stick, so that may not have do it depending on your setup.
hey do songs that are packed keep their scores if they have a number id and you wipe the cache?
