Dumb question of the day… how do I upload my first custom to the database? There is an “Add new custom” button on the database page, but then it asks me to provide the Download URL myself… how do I know the download URL before I actually upload the file? Or it is so that we MUST use MediaFire or another file hosting service instead of the customcreators database itself?

Correct. You can’t actually upload the file directly to the database, you need to upload it to a file hosting site first.
c3universe only lets you upload something once you have posted something on the database – in order to post something on the database, you need a different download link. MediaFire and Google Drive are both good options. Once it’s uploaded, you can request space in c3universe and then replace the download link.
You are about to leave Rhythm Gaming World and access the external songs DB. While no song or file sold for commercially available videogames is hosted there and only fan generated content is allowed, Rhythm Gaming World has no direct control over the database and no files are hosted here. Alright, we had to made you aware of this, now you can visit the database!
