Heres some song requests for an underrated 70s band who had a few hits but were over looked. My dad got me into them growing up but I listened to them on my own & they are truly a 70s sound through & through.

You have good taste. The Grass Roots have always been a group I’ve been wanting to get to. But they are not easy to chart for because their use of horns and keys are so dominant and are usually so up front in the mix, with guitar often pushed back. So that is a double strike against them for me because I usually stick to songs with good guitar parts. But I haven’t ruled them out and will consider them again. Let’s Live For Today and Temptation Eyes would be most likely.

Thanks! Ive requested them before but with zero results. I understand why with them not being well known or really even that known but the songs Ive mentioned are the songs most would know from them. I do agree with the horns & other instruments overpowering the regularly charted instruments but I feel like those songs would be so much fun! Ill take whatever you chart by then & if anyone else decides to chart them as well.
so. many. horns. drives me insane how many songs are just so difficult to chart simply due to how the arrangements of horns and orchestra noise overpowers the rock instruments. and even more hysterical when they played them “live” the orchestra music was usually pre-recorded. just leave it out already and let me hear those rock riffs. these would be fun if the arrangements were different, since grass roots had so many recognizable songs that people would probably say, “it was who?”
