When I go to insert a media file, nothing shows up on File Explorer. WTF?!!

There might not be a supported music file on that folder (MP3).
^ REAPER cannot handle some file extensions such as .m4a, you’d have to convert it to ogg/flac/mp3/wav (I suggest using Audacity) before importing it.
edit:
Also, I suggest showing file extensions in the file explorer:
.flac does not seem to show a waveform for me on the audio track. I use MP3 or wav.
I’ve had no problems using FLAC files in REAPER. In fact, I recommend doing it over MP3 because it is a lossless file type, so a good rip will guarantee basically the best audio quality you can get for your custom.
For the original question, what type is the file you want to import?
You are about to leave Rhythm Gaming World and access the external songs DB. While no song or file sold for commercially available videogames is hosted there and only fan generated content is allowed, Rhythm Gaming World has no direct control over the database and no files are hosted here. Alright, we had to made you aware of this, now you can visit the database!
