Hi guys, I just started charting drums… What a little peace of magic seeing the first parts I charted in the preview plugin!
Anyway I’m very used to playing pro drums, so when charting non pro drums for expert I’m having a little trouble figuring out what color pad should correspond to what sound.
From what I know these are the basics…
But lets say there is no Tom-Tom in a part but there is a hi-hat and a ride cymbal. Should I make the ride cymbal blue? Is there a general rule of thumb for this.
I did try searching first but couldn’t find any info on this…
Thanks
Chart pro drums like you normally would. The standard drums will adjust to being standard drums from the pro chart (i.e. the blue pro cymbal will be a blue standard tom).
Ok I think that may have been a stupid question, I though for some reason pro cymbals would be charted as a separate midi note, I guess you just chart for Normal and then it just automatically changes to symbols if you play pro.

Lol yeah just was typing that I asked a dumb question. Thanks for the response though!

Nope, pretty sure you’ve got it backwards.
there’s a note that tells pro drums to make yellow, blue, or green a tom note.
