Is there any reason to go back to these?

So, ever since C3 & The GH to RB & even the Beatles project, Ive felt that certain games in the franchise are just not worth going back to. Honestly you have/had every Green Day DLC in Rock Band store (dont know if they got taken down, I was certain they did) & the project to bring all the Beatles up was thoughtfully done well. As well as with GH to RB having most non DLC tracks that werent available now available is certainly a treat. That begs the question, is there even a need to go back to older games? I feel like Im glad I got to play them & to own them, but besides that without key features that Rock Band 3 offers such as Pro Drums & Harms (some dont have), that I find it difficult to pick them back up. I can say that I do like Green Day Rock Band & Beatles Rock Band & hell even Guitar Hero Metallica for their likenesses of each band, but for me without Pro Drums its not a decent reason to go back. Maybe to get achievements or to complete goals on the games, but Ive gotten most goals already. Maybe we could chalk it down to novelty? I mean I still go back to Guitar Hero 1 & 2 for the hell of it time to time just to hear the covers lol

I guess I go back because of the animations and goals to complete and start over. I prefer not using GH to RB because the two games charts are very different. I’ve seen a lot of old guitar hero charts where the drum kick is specifically not in the stems but in the chart… it bugs me (especially since I have a hard time hiting the snare and kick together lol)

Honestly, with all the exports and projects as you mentioned, there is no reason to go back to them. Thats how i personally feel anyway, as someone who only got into rock band in 2014 and doesn’t have the nostalgia for the older games. I very much enjoy having everything in one place. That being said I’ll occasionally go back to GDRB because I’m a huge green day fan and I love seeing the characters and venues,

Yeah. Rock Band 3 is really the “main game” for me now. I never go to anything else, because I honestly find no need!

Personally, I prefer playing Beatles tracks in TBRB because of the fantastic visuals and Dreamscapes. Except for the newer post-TBRB Beatles customs, of course, since they were designed from scratch with RB3 in mind.

You do have a point. Honestly its not convenient to switch from game to game so thats just why I keep it on one game.

Thats kind of my thing with the band related games. Green Day Rock Band especially. Green Day Rock Band would be awesome if we could add customs to it & add Pro-Drums. Not to say I wouldnt just play it anyway haha.

I wish that the rock band titles could be backwards comparable with the new generation of consoles though.

Well, someone is working on Customs in Rock Band 4, right now is pretty much just pure luck how any of it is working in their favor haha but even if Rock Band 4 could have customs, I still think I might stay on Rock Band 3.

If RB4 has custone, I would definitely switch because then I would have no need for my Xbox 360

I totally do too, but I also think that if that was possible then we wouldnt have gotten Rock Band 4. Thats why we got Rock Band 4.

I love the visuals in TBRB, Just dont think that the game was all that fun compared to others, it was novelty with the band but to me it could have been more. The Beatles are a great full band experience, but nothing is too difficult, nothing is worth going back to, thats kind of why I dont mind having the discography in RB3. Although Help! & Please, Please Me (both songs) should have been in TBRB.

I would switch for gameplay reasons. RB4 seems easier to play on drums and vocals as compared to RB3.

But I would miss all these awesome venues!

I mean it wont happen for awhile, but I mean the only issue I have with RB4 is the calibration is always off for me, for some reason my RB3 never had to be fixed it was automatically calibrated perfectly for some reason, I mean SOMETIMES itll give me SOME input lag but never as bad as RB4 does, but the unlimited song limit is so much better tbh haha.

I had the opposite problem, I’ve spent so much time trying to get the calibration just right in RB3 lol but yeah unlimited song count sounds great
