I am currently working on my first chart. It’s Dreamer from Harmonix’s recent Amplitude game.

This was one of my favorite songs to play on the new Amplitude. So I thought I try and chart it, instead of just requesting it to be charted.

Now I have only done the Keys and Guitar (Expert only). Still need to put in star power sections.

I hope you enjoy what I have so far of this chart. It’s not finished yet either.

So… Is anyone willing to at least give some feedback?

Stating that you haven’t added overdrive yet and that it is unfinished indicates that the song is in early stages and you’re unlikely to get much response unless someone loves the song. Also. the song you chose to start with is obscure so no response is what I would expect. (sorry if that is blunt.)

Here’s just a bit of advice. I’d recommend that you finish your song as completely as you can and then add it to the customs database. The more complete you make it, the better people will respond, or least download. Add the overdrives, practice sections, all instruments, expert + CAT at least, but preferably full reductions. The reason I stress full reductions is that the process of doing reductions by hand will almost always reveal flaws in your expert charts and result in higher quality charts.

Don’t let the lack of response stop you. You can put out complete songs and very few people will take the time to respond or say thanks. That’s OK if your primary motivation is for yourself.

Thanks for the advice. What is CAT by the way?

CAT: C3 Automation Tools. It is in the Authoring Tools section. Many use it for doing automatic reductions which is better than just doing expert only, but not as good as doing full reductions yourself (or a combination of CAT and reviewing and adjusting everything it does.) CAT has other uses too.
