adding parts to existing songs

i see a few songs on the catalog i would love to add parts for usually contacting the author does nothing but i thought i read somewhere you can take a song and add parts to it im mostly aiming at talky vocals but heres how i figure it better something then nothing
I usually try and contact the author first, if no response, at least give them credit for what they did. There’s nothing stopping from having 2 versions of the song in the database, but if possible try and merge them into one

You can extract the midi file with C3 CON Tools and import it into REAPER. That gives you the tempo map and all midi information, for you to add onto.
If you add new instruments, it must be compiled again with Magma, however.
