I don’t even know what to say to these anymore.
July 20, 2017 at 6:52 pm #488131“Bennington is survived by his wife and six children.”
(sigh)
Mental illness is so, so vile.
July 20, 2017 at 8:02 pm #488137This devastated me. I was and still am a big fan of Linkin Park. They were one of the first bands I really got into going into high school and their music helped me through a lot of personal and tough times.
July 20, 2017 at 8:28 pm #488140This sucks! Now we’re stuck with Justin Wieber!!

My heart goes out to his friends and family who are suffering the most at this moment ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
July 20, 2017 at 10:08 pm #4881502017, don’t be like that asshole that was 2016. We don’t need another year like that.
So sad to see another great voice fade out, all because of suicide. Chester (and Linkin Park as a whole) was one of the voices I heard throughout my childhood, and to see him gone just devastates me. I don’t want any more people to go. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
July 20, 2017 at 10:27 pm #488152I don´t believe it, i´m a linking park fan, sad news today, RIP one of the greatest vocalist: Chester.
July 20, 2017 at 10:27 pm #488153I was concerned about the older bands I love because I want to see them live before they’re gone. As it turns out it’s the younger groups I need to be worried about.
July 20, 2017 at 10:56 pm #488156Rest in Peace Chester
I actually posted this over on the FoF forums so I figured why not share it here too, While their more recent album wasn’t exactly what I enjoyed, this group and this singer helped define my youth. Hybrid Theory is to this day one of my top 10 favorite albums. I ended up having to buy a second copy since my first one got so scratched up and wouldn’t play. I also practically wore out a DVD I had of theirs watching it over and over again because I always liked their music videos. When I heard the news, it almost felt a bit surreal to be absolutely honest. I mean, especially since they just released an album in May of this year. It’s rare for me to not have something to say, but right now I’m honestly at a loss for words. The only thing I can think of to say is that suicide is NEVER the way out. Now, I don’t mean to get preachy, but for those within the reach of these words, if you’re struggling, do yourself a favor and seek help. There’s too much in life to live for, you’re not a mistake, you’re not an accident. You’re absolutely precious in the eyes of God. I only pray that his family, friends, band-mates, and fans will find peace in their mourning. I mean, this just sucks. No matter what, I gotta give the band credit for always wanting to try different things musically even if they felt like swings and misses. They were one of those iconic bands in rock music that helped define Nu-Metal. Honestly, this is just a sad day in the history of rock music.
July 20, 2017 at 10:58 pm #488157Now we have to fear 60s to 70s bands are getting old, and 80s to 00s bands are not all about the American dream, I’ll miss Chester a lot, I can understand what suffering feels like, but not on his level. It’s really sad the last news I got from them was their performance at Hellfest of their last single being booed.
I’ve faced numerous suicide attempts, some even being the consequences of deaths, even from suicide themselves, if I can’t save myself please save all of yourselves. If you need to let your pain out, be like Chester, join a band, write a song, scream your heart off in a microphone, but don’t let that heart stop beating, whether through a rope or through a needle. We couldn’t save Cobain, we couldn’t save Cornell, we couldn’t save Bennington, and it’s already too much painful events to live with.
TL;DR: Carry on, you mean a lot to somebody, just like Chester and his music means a lot to his millions fans.
July 21, 2017 at 1:26 am #488166I owned “Reanimation” before I owned “Hybrid Theory”. I didn’t know it was a remix album until someone was like, “That’s not even the originals!”. Lol. I bought “Meteora” when it came out and accurately predicted “Faint” being a single. I’ve never seen them live, due to my extreme hate for the rest of their catalog, but it’s very unfortunate to lose a soul like Chester.
RIP bro.
July 21, 2017 at 3:56 am #488177July 21, 2017 at 4:32 am #488181One of these days, I told to a friend of mine: “We need to watch Linkin Park and Metallica live at least once”. I don’t know what to say, I’m just sad abaout loosing another artist I really like in a short amount of time.
RIP Chester Bennington
