I am running Dolphin 5.0 and I have been trying to get custom songs on it. After a while I’ve figured it out and am able to get some. I was able to get 4 songs to work and 1 song to show up in my library, but after that, no other songs are being added to my game.
I am pretty sure my problem is coming from the naming of the files aswell as the sZAE part.
I have been naming my folders like this:
001_00000001_tg_songname_meta (I also changed the to sZAE/001)
002_00000002_tg_songname_song
…
009_00000009_tg_songname_meta (I also changed the to sZAE/009)
010_00000010_tg_songname_song
The problem seems to be when I make it into double digits, the number doesn’t seem to register. It makes sense to me because my 5th song shows up in game but cannot be played (because I have the meta but not the game).
I’m not quite sure if I’m doing something wrong naming my files or if it is only supported to play this many songs (which I seem unlikely). Any help is appreciated.
May 11, 2017 at 1:32 am #484907In dolphin; you can pack app files as big as you want; so if for some reason only the 5 first slots works; you can still install 100s of songs.
Can you explain what happens when the song cannot be played? This sounds like a ticket issue; i.e. the slot was not unlocked.
May 11, 2017 at 3:18 am #484910I believe discussions like this are usually kept in the dedicated Wii thread.
So if you had checked that, make sure you’re on a version before 5.0-2874, otherwise you have to follow the size limit. And also, you’re going from 09 to 10, which is incorrect since those numbers are hexadecimal, meaning it would go to 0A. But either way, you shouldn’t need a file per song because you can pack as much as you want together.

So if I am understanding, i should be naming the files like
001_00000001_songname_meta
001_00000002_songname_song
…
001_00000009_songname_meta
001_00000010_songname_song
and so on?
001_00000001_songname_meta
May 12, 2017 at 2:03 am #484956No; StackOverflow was right about the naming.

Then that’s is the annoying problem I’m running on dolphin. Please can you explain that dolphin versions above 5.0 2874 are the end of unlimited space for customs in dolphin? If that1s the case i’m screwed. No new versions of dolphin worked for me with customs. I was thinking that was my Video card. so sad!

001_00000001_songname_meta
002_00000002_songname_song
then
003_00000003_songname_meta

then
005_00000005_songname_meta
006_00000006_songname_song
and on and on, etc
007_00000007_songname_meta
008_00000008_songname_song

010_0000000a_songname_song
011_0000000b_songname_meta
012_0000000c_songname_song
then
013_0000000d_songname_meta
014_0000000e_songname_song<<<<
Hope it helps!!

Thanks, I understand now. I also cannot get passed 13 and 14 either. Not exactly sure why, but thanks for the help everyone!
May 12, 2017 at 11:50 pm #484996so 015_0000000f and 016_00000010 didn’t worked?
May 13, 2017 at 12:25 am #485001so 015_0000000f and 016_00000010 didn’t worked?
Yes, I can get at most 90 songs in my library and when I try those, it gives me a glitch in game where it keeps reloading all of my DLC songs until I exit from the game and delete them.

Everytime i tried it ‘s not working.
Did some of you happen to test the problem with the newer dolphin versions not correctly loading the customs?
I come to various problems, but my videocard isn’t the brilliant one, maybe someone with a powerfull specs!
dolphin Emulator has the bad habit of increase specs with newer versions, for example, with dolphin 4.0 I needed less power to run properly musical games, dolphin 5.0, I have to close various applications to run it properly (almost properly).

I use dolphin 5.0 and I have the same issue as you.
May 13, 2017 at 1:29 am #485006Using 5.0 (and not the newer version; just the first 5.0 that came out) I didn’t have any troubles; I even gained some FPS in the menus compared to 4.x.
I would suggest checking for your version as StackOverflow0x mentioned to “make sure you’re on a version before 5.0-2874, otherwise you have to follow the size limit”.
If the slots are unlocked they should all work, the only generation I had trouble with was the custom one.. sZGE, which was looping when loading customs… it wasn’t a big deal considering I could use any other official slot and can pack well over 1gb in a single pack.

Try a newer than that version. For example 5.0 2890 etc or newer and tell me what problem will happen. Thanks for the info
