I charted a song that I am completely done with, and I’m putting it through Magma and of course getting errors about “multiple time signatures at measure #”, and it’s around the same spots as these off-tempo spots in the song, so I know the off-tempo parts have got to be the issue. The song has tempo changes so I have no choice but to chart it that way, and I guess I didn’t do it right. Is there a thread somewhere that has an answer to this? Because I looked around and couldn’t find one. And this all sucks because this was a song that I completed and have been super excited to release, but now I can’t because of these errors that I don’t recognize. If I could get any help at all, I will greatly appreciate it. I would just REALLY hate to completely rechart the song because I’ve worked really hard on it for quite some time. Thank you.Edit: Check my comment where I mention the song I’m charting for this new issue I’m experiencing with the same custom. Thanks!Everything is resolved, thank you everyone!
March 5, 2017 at 8:02 pm #482317Try zooming on the tempo changes and see if they are perhaps just a little bit before the end of a full measure, even by as little as a hundredth of a beat. I’ve had that happen a few times and it’s impossible to notice if Magma didn’t complain about it.

Oh okay I think I know what you mean. Alright thanks, I’ll give it a try!
March 5, 2017 at 9:29 pm #482322Okay I just went through the entire song and fixed every little thing off centered and everything, completing the song after finding exactly what you told me to find, and there were like two or three spots that were like that. I had to zoom in like all the way to see them too. Nonetheless, I fixed them, and the whole song, and I’m still getting the same exact Magma error. Ehhhhhhh
Edit: Here’s the exact error: “Multiple time signatures at measure 32 at 33:5:000”
Another Edit: I tried fixing it again, found like two more extra signatures that I got rid of. I fixed the song completely again and now it’s the same exact error, except it says 31 instead of 32. Anybody have any other input on this please? I’m sorry I just do not know what to do.
March 5, 2017 at 10:28 pm #482324UPDATE: NEVER MIND I FIXED IT! Thank you Whizzer for your advice! Really all I did was turn the 6/6 parts of the song into 4/4 but I kept the notes and the beat unchanged so it just kind of automatically worked itself out. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> Now all I need to do is fix all these misaligned lyrics and notes, ugh

Oh it’s STFU by Pink Guy, haha. Don’t know why I didn’t mention it. I’m starting to experience another issue though by the way. On one of the parts where the beat is by 2/2, it only has space for 30 to 30.2.000 (and anything before 30.3.000). When I go to put it through Magma, it comes up with an error that says on vocals that there is a misaligned lyric AT 30.3.001, even though 30.3.000 doesn’t even exist. When I put the beat back to 4/4 to check for this misaligned lyric at the specific spot, it’s not even there at all. But no matter what I do, the misaligned lyric does not exist in the specified spot, but the error keeps coming up. Does this sound like something you understand?
Edit: No matter how far I zoom in, I still can’t see it either.
March 5, 2017 at 11:27 pm #482327Either you’re composing some pretentious experimental avant-gard classical musical, or you’re using irrational time signatures with no reason whatsoever to do so. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

Well the song is like a combination of acoustic music and trap/rap music, and the way the guitar switches up is a little off rhythm, so I just want to have it sync correctly rather than having like downbeats where there are upbeats and vice versa. The song is comedic so I think the artist just did not really care how well put together the song is, but it’s a very popular funny song so I gotta work with it by how it’s made. The tempo changes are necessary, just a huge pain to deal with. This is the only song I’ve heard/tried to chart that is like this ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

I can guarantee you there are no 6/6 measures in there. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> Or 2/2 for that matters.
March 5, 2017 at 11:36 pm #482330I’ve had that happen a few times and it’s impossible to notice if Magma didn’t complain about it.
Or worse, you only notice it in-game when everything is out of sync. Happened to me when I started charting.

Yup. He may be confusing it with 6/4 and 2/4?
March 5, 2017 at 11:36 pm #482331I’m not familiar with the song myself (Pink Guy just isn’t my thing), but are you sure they shouldn’t be 2/4 and 6/4? Or perhaps still 4/4, but on a different grid (such as a triplet grid)?
March 5, 2017 at 11:47 pm #482332OH would it be 2/4? I guess I am getting it confused then. Let me try that, thank you everyone! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
March 5, 2017 at 11:50 pm #482333Okay okay here’s what I’ve been doing, I’ve been changing it to 2/2 and then multiplying the BPM by 2, making it what I was looking for with 2/4 time signature. I feel dumb now haha
