Hello, i´m new to this community, i met this site from youtube videos and then i got interested to make my own custom song, so,for10 days working on my project, i wanted to make a test in dolphin emulator, until magma tells me that i had a lot of errors in sections, tracks, events, etc… then i fixed the parts and again it tells i had more errors in some sections, events, part drums, i fixed more of them, and then it tells me that it has more! i got frustrated wanting to say f@#% it and leave, so i did(felling sad about it) now 1 week and a half later i´m making this post to ask for help, i´ll be so greatful for any tips or things that i don´t know. :shobon:

i do not know much authoring, drum mixes, events. venue. (sorry if my english is bad)

Stick with it. There is a learning curve, and, after a while, most of those errors become trivial.

Also, the compile stops after certain errors are discovered. So, even for experienced authors, you fix some errors, and the next run has a bunch of new ones. Naturally, these were not new, but newly discovered.

For example, in the last custom I made, I forgot to unmute one of the two audio (vocal) tracks. So, I got a simple error about it. Unmuted, exported MIDI, ran it again. Now 100’s of errors popped up. Seems like I had been a little off in copying the notes to the second track, and none of them lined up with the lyrics. That was a slow fix.

If you stay stuck, PM me and send me the files. I’ll try to compile. But don’t give up just yet.

bsbloom’s got it right. The first custom I ever did produced hundreds of errors the first time I ran it through magma. I cut and pasted the error list into a Word file and I think it was over 10 pages long (single-spaced). All I could do was go back and fix every mistake, and then take note of what types of errors I was making. I found that the most common errors could be avoided by simply changing my authoring habits while working in Reaper. In other words, the more familiar you get with the process, the less errors will appear. Nowadays I probably average about a half page of errors—and most of them involve the vocal tracks.

NOTE: the guitar and bass tracks has the same expert difficulty for hard, medium and easy for now, i did it for the test preview and the drums has some missing notes and issues. http://www.mediafire.com/file/b4fk6pv4jtgmu7m/Test_Folder.zip

Most problems were pretty trivial. When I opened the file, here is what I noticed:

                  (1) There are many unused tracks. These should all be muted. I did that.

                  (2) The FX on vocals should be disabled, or you hear it in the final audio. Hit the button just to the right of the FX to disable.

                  (3) The event track must go all the way to your END marker. It stopped around M182. I extended it.

                  (4) The Master Volume was turned way down. Not sure why, but I put it up to 0 db.

Then I rendered two audio files (a Dry Vox and the main audio) and tried to compile (called it Test). Only three errors.

                  (a) Two vocal notes misplaced. Fixed those.

( Magma said the crowd_idle event at 129 was not allowed. I deleted it.

Tried again, and it compiled. In the zip file above, I have included everything, including the completed rbcon (called Test).

By the way, I did no checking of the actual charts, though I played through drums and bass once, and they look reasonable.

Woa :excited: Thanks a lot!, i just played, so happy to test it for the first time . It needs some adjustments that i must fix. In any case, can you teach me how to create a CON file please? PD:If I have doubt, could I ask you again?

Glad to help, and anytime. However, you should read up on creating rbcons with Magma, and try it for yourself.

One last thing: On reaper, what are those white lines that are inside on the charting notes? and how do i insert them?

These are the velocity control. Velocity isn’t used for anything except pro guitar.
