DictatorceMemberIt seems that all songs that I downloaded from your database doesn’t have proper camera cuts. But when I check out YouTube videos some of the songs that I download have some proper camera cuts, is it because they use the Xbox version? If I convert a song from Xbox to PS3 will the camera authoring and cuts be retained?

samjjonesParticipantThe console version has nothing to do with what the song “gameplay” looks like, actually.
Authors have an extreme amount of control of what happens “on-stage” during their songs. Some authors go through the extra effort of “directing” the camera cuts at a very fine level. Others use the cuts generated by Magma. Just depends on the particular song and author that was involved in that custom. When you come across a song that has the “extra TLC” in terms of venue, you’ll know it and appreciate it.
If you switch from console the console, the song animations should look exactly the same.

FarottoneKeymasterOn XBox that would probably mean you’re not on TU4.

I’m aware that the consoles don’t have any difference when it comes to gameplay and such. What I’m trying to say is that, the camera authoring might get deleted or removed somewhat during the conversion process. Is it possible?

Just want to precise since the dude is on PS3: The TU4 restriction is only for xbox; on PS3 custom works fine on latest version.

ParticipantAre you on lastest RB3 version?
I’ve heard that this is the best version to play customs on PS3; as they could have problems on earlier versions.

No I’m not, but I don’t think the updates really contribute to the camera cuts. And I don’t really want to update it, because I already have alot of dlc installed and i’m nervous it might get messed up with the incompatibilities and such.
Anyway, I saw the song Stairway to Heaven on YouTube (
) and the custom looks pretty great it has some nice camera shots. I also downloaded mine from the C3 Database, but when I’m playing the song it just gives me one camera angle.

ParticipantI really suggest trying with the latest RB3 version. Don’t worry your customs will be safe. IIRC you can update through multiman and whatnot. When I was using PS3 for customs I was on latest RB3 version and everything was fine.

FarottoneKeymasterNo I’m not.
There’s your problem, as you’ve been told. Please don’t bump the first thread in the page anyway, even more so when you’ve been told you’d need to be on the latest game update and you don’t want to.
