ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (MIDI FILE): Could not find MIDI track authored for real_keys, possibly due to incorrect track name event
I’ve muted the track in the midi this error is giving me
I have regular keys charted.
Any ideas?
If you muted the track, of course Magma won’t find it.
Hi Hazama!
On the “Game Data” tab, look at the box in the lower right corner. There is a checkbox for “Auto-generate ‘fake’ pro-keys”. If you are compiling a song with regular keys but no pro keys, I’m pretty sure this has to be checked.
I muted the track because I didnt chart pro keys. I had unchecked.
Oh well, I fixed it by charting overdrive in pro keys and apporiate notes for it to function, then just didnt check it in Magma
Magma will always throw and error if it’s muted in Reaper because it can’t find the track in the Midi file. It doesn’t matter whether it’s charted or not, the track needs to exist if there are regular keys. As Dahnlee said, you have to either manually put in some notes or generate “fake” pro keys in Magma (which as far as I know does the same thing as manual charting)
