I’m working on a song where the drummer sings the chorus and the vocalist doesn’t sing, but i’m not sure what part to chart the vocals on?

    thanks.

Whichever phrases you mark with the “Drummer Sing Along” note in the VENUE track.

So i should be able to put it on harm 2 and then place a sing-along in the venue track?

      • 87 D#5 = makes the guitarist sing along (or keys in the absence of guitar)
      • 86 D5 = makes the drummer sing along.
      • 85 C#5 = makes the bass player sing along (or keys in the absence of bass)

The above are sing‐along notes‐‐they apply the lip‐sync animation from the vocalist to other characters during playback.

Note that if Harmony parts are present for the vocals these notes will cause the guitarist to lip-sync Harmony 2, the bass/keyboard to lip-sync Harmony 3, and the drummer to lipsync Harmony 1. If there is only a bassist/keyboardist present on screen, bass will lip-sync HARM2 and keyboard will lip-sync HARM3.

But i can’t see it saying about it being on harm 2.

Drummer always lipsynchs the primary vocalist’s. So if you have lyrics that you want the drummer to sing, it’ll have to be whatever the primary vocalist is singing.

A good example is the end of “Roundabout” or “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

So i guess there is no way to make the drum sing it only, dam i guess <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

Your best bet is to assign it to vocals as well and use camera cut tricks.

It won’t work, i think some vocals overlap with the lead singer so i’m not sure.

Maybe i won’t be able to make it like the music video and just have the guitarist sing the backing vocals.

It shouldn’t be too hard, you just need to edit the harm1 dry vox so that during drum cuts you use the lead dryvox and vocal cuts to use harmony dryvox

Strangely enough, every time I play “Clint Eastwood” Gorillaz DLC the drummer sings the rap part, not the vocalist. Then maybe there’s a way to do if an official song achieved this. Maybe an official song can achieve almost anything.

It’s the same gimmick that Linos Melendi and I have advised.

Those songs have 4-part lip sync though. Plus, you can override the default fallback to any order with some specific Milo edits.

Then it exists, some way !

I’m guessing it’s because vocalist becomes idle, making him not be able to say anything or just Harmonix’s way of lipsyncing other characters
