I download the Dream Theater Song : Metropolis, Part 1; The Miracle and The Sleeper on to my Xbox 360 in 2014. Just wondering. Should i keep it for my use or Respect Harmonix and Delete it.
What do You Think??
keep it if you want. the rule C3 has is more about continuing to distribute customs of officially-released songs than having the customs in the first place.
I’m having a similar moral dilemma with some songs. My justification is that they’re not available for RB3 and never will be so it’s not like I’m hurting anything and I might as well keep them to enjoy them. Even after songs leave the official DLC list we can still play them, so should it work the other way around? I’ve supported both Harmonix and the artist anyway so what’s a few songs?
I also feel like once support is dropped from a game it’s kind of a free-for-all. Which is a pretty unstable argument but I agree with it nonetheless.
Personally I buy the song if available and keep the custom as well. For example i love the custom song for Like A Stone and it’s something i would have liked in rb3 and (but never happened officially) it’s now available in rb4 so i bought it. But i don’t really play rb4. I might not have purchased the song if it weren’t for c3 over here. And no i don’t distribute the custom elsewhere either in respect to Harmonix and these forums.

That’s a great attitude, thank you. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
I don’t see any problem with keeping customs of RB4 songs, I own the game and i’ve bought DLC of customs (Hey Ya, Zombie, Get Lucky etc) so I don’t have an issue with keeping the RB3 versions around, means we don’t have to switch games while playing in a group
