God, I hope the admins don’t go postal on me again for something I didn’t know I’m not allowed to ask..

But if someone could refer me to an existing thread or some sort of tutorial for, let’s say, adding vocal charting to a custom that doesn’t already have it included. Or would I have to contact the author of the custom for the charting that they HAVE done and just add to that?

how i go about doing it:

    1. send the author a message asking to repost their custom with certain additions.
    2. if they say yes, great. if they don’t reply, go ahead anyway; most people don’t mind but it doesn’t hurt to ask. if it turns out they have a problem with it, you’ll find out later and can take it down then.
    3. download the custom; use CON Tools to transfer to Phase Shift format and use the audio and midi files from that. alternately you can ask the author for the source .RPP, but i haven’t bothered with that before.
    4. add whatever you’re gonna add to the custom, render into a new CON, and post. simple as that.

That’s a great attitude IRL: claiming ignorance of the rules as a reason to break them.

Oh damn. Someone went postal. I contacted someone about doing instruments for songs. Just clearly put your intentions and everything else clearly in the P.M.

Couldn’t help it. I really enjoyed playing those games. I must be sick and twisted.
