I second Friends In Low Places, especially with harmonies so you can do the crowd participation at the end

oh yes, the beard does Garth. Lol.

I’ll second the OP, Garth Brooks has a TON of great songs that would be awesome for RB parties (I’m not a country fan and you don’t have to be!).

          Check out just the hits:

Why is country the one genre people feel the need to distance themselves from? I mean, it’s genuine music, played on real instruments and it may be repetitive in composition as can any other genre be. I mean, I don’t like industrial but the last thing I would want from a fan of the genre is an apology for the music they listen to. You like country? Good for you. Industrial? Good for you. You just like some songs? It’s all good, why do you need to distance yourself from a genre?

              #462257

I agree Farottone. It’s music with a beat.

It’s all good ! If we all liked the same things & the same music !

What a dull world it would be…..

+1 on Garth Brooks, and country in particular.

Isn’t Garth like the second or third best selling artist of all-time…behind only the Beatles and/or Michael Jackson, or something similarly impressive?

I’m afraid my aside about not being a country fan came across wrong. I didn’t mean to impugn the genre at all. On the contrary, I’ve just heard a lot of RB players (my friends) say things like, “why did they put country music in a game called ROCK Band?” without even considering its merits.

Labels suck anyway. Garth Brooks is amazing and his stuff would be super playable in customs!

Are they the same who then play a ton of metal, by any chance?

By the way, rock is derived from blues, big band and, yes, country. Problem is, it looks like most people in the last probably 30 years have been starting listening to music with contemporary material and lost touch with then genesis of rock. I am in that group by age but while I did start listening to contemporary music for my age, I started going through music also in chronological way. If you do that, you can’t miss those influences. Bill Haley and the Comets (of Rock Around the Clock fame) are perfect examples of Big Band influences and people like Jerry Lee Lewis and the Everly Brothers are great examples of country influences. Heck, Beach Boys championed surf but where would they have been without gospel? So, next time somebody says “Why is THIS in a game called Rock Band”, you can tell them it’s not that far fetched.

I have several Country songs that are guitar only charts from FOF Country Hero, I am not to sure how good they are tempo mapped or charted.

The problem is I can’t chart shit or fix tempo problems. If anyone is interested in completing them or adding to them I would be glad to help out with at least unpitched vocals. I would have released the guitar only charts long ago but it gets old real fast hearing people say I would download these if they were full band, or someone please add pitched vocals to these etc etc etc. I don’t think 99% of the people who come here to download songs realize the time required to do all that stuff.

Here is a list of what I have. If there is enough interest shown I will at least release as is, what is requested from this list

Garth Brooks – Papa Loved Mama

Vince Gill – Liza Jane & What the Cowgirls do

George Strait – Blue Clear Sky & Love Without End Amen

Clint Black – A Better Man

                          Buck Owens – Buckaroo

Brooks & Dunn – Boot Scootin Boogie

                          Alabama – I’m in a Hurry

Dierks Bentley – Settle For a Slowdown

Dwight Yoakum – A Thousand Miles From Nowhere

Billy Ray Cyrus – Real Gone

                          Brad Paisley – Me Neither

Dixie Chicks – There’s Your Trouble & Wide Open Spaces

                          Dolly Parton – Jolene

                          Alan Jackson – Chatahoochie

I would be all over these songs…..Brooks & Dunn – Boot Scootin Boogie,Dwight Yoakum – A Thousand Miles From Nowhere,Dixie Chicks – There’s Your Trouble & Wide Open Spaces.

And no I don’t care what instrument’s there are for. I prefer drum’s but I own a full RB3 pack.

So I’ll play whatever instruments their made for. That’s why we own Full Band instruments…….

And I do know how much time & effort you great author’s pour into each song.

I appreciate it very much !!

The only songs I know and would love playing are

Dixie Chicks – There’s Your Trouble & Wide Open Spaces

                          Dolly Parton – Jolene

If I see a song with missing parts that I really want to play, I will download and add the missing parts, then reupload. I have done this on a few songs and I know how long it takes, I appreciate your effort. Maybe posting as is would encourage some people to add missing parts.
