David Bowie passed away at the age of 69.
My first intruduction to his work was the Jim Henson movie Labyrinth.
It wasn’t untill much later that I started to listen to his other songs.
With his great diversity in songs there is something to like and/or loathe for almost everyone. Polarising but without a doubt a very influential musician. I’m sad to see him go.
a sad day
For reasons, I never got into Bowie, though he was one of the great innovators and a music genius. It seems like time is starting to catch up to that generation of superstars and it’s a sad reminder that all good things…
I haven’t really listened to him other than Space Oddity and a few other songs but I really enjoyed what I heard and he made a damn good Nikola Tesla in The Prestige.
There’s a starman waiting in the sky
Never a big Bowie fan myself. Major Tom & Changes were my 2 favorites.
He was a big influence on the music world in the 70’s & 80’s.
RIP Ziggy Stardust !!!
It must be an incredible feeling knowing that your life’s work will live on (and continue to influence and entertain) long after your physical body ceases to work.
Labyrinth was one of my favorite movies of the 80’s. Also, we should of got “Starman” in RB3 although Singstar has it.
R.i.p King of the goblins
A huge shame, one of the greats.
Life On Mars? is one of the few songs that actually took my breath away on first listen.
