hello everyone! this is my first try doing a custom… and I am a completely noob
I’ve got a fof guitar chart, watched pksage’s “Let’s author!” video, read and following Farottone’s Complete C3 Tutorial for New Authors. BUT there are a lot of things I still can’t understand, even reading a lot of times, so I am trying to do to learn.
in Farottone’s Complete C3 Tutorial, at the end, 14 EXPORTING, there are some points on exporting wavs that are saying: “Render and use the settings you see in the picture”… sorry my dumbness, but I could not find it, and so I just did as I actually thought it was… but I know now that is wrong
well, right now I’m stuck on the error: “Midi track event must appear at 1:1:000”
this is how it is on the project:
this is the error:what should I do to fix this? thanks for nowPS. Please, be gentle… and if possible, explain me like I 5!December 19, 2015 at 5:27 pm #460953Don’t go beyond Reaper 4.22. How are your RBN plug ins working with the 64 bit version of Reaper btw? The issue you issue is caused by the fact that you added a second MIDI item on top of the original MIDI item in the PART GUITAR track.

thanks for the feedback and patience Farottone!
so, I’m using a Reaper x86 3.76 version now. I’ve deleted the existed guitar track now before drag the fof midi track of the guitar part. the first option on import, the “Expand the tracks” is shadowed, I can’t check it. I did all the same as before, and now the errors are different.
this is how it is now:
and this is the error now:
OH, can you tell me where are the images from part 14 exporting the wav?
December 20, 2015 at 1:14 am #460970If I’m understanding what you’re saying, you are deleting the guitar track and putting in a different one. Thats your problem. By doing that you have lost the Track name in the previous track. I usually just copy and paste the notes into the original track. You need to add a Track name for PART GUITAR, PART BASS and PART VOCALS
December 20, 2015 at 1:31 am #460971Rule #1: never touch anything structural in the C3 template. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”> You work inside the tracks, you don’t replace them or delete them.
December 20, 2015 at 2:22 am #460975December 20, 2015 at 2:24 am #460976You have 2 PART GUITAR track names.
December 20, 2015 at 2:29 am #460977those “Part Guitar” at the “text events”? the first one came with the copy/paste… shoud I click on it and delete it? and then bring the original one to the 1:1:00 or just leave it where it is?
December 20, 2015 at 3:33 am #460979You only need 1 PART “INSTRUMENT”, and it should be at 1:1:00
December 20, 2015 at 5:32 pm #461013can you guys please take a look at this video, and tell me some directions?
the error:

Double note off means you have 2 overlapping notes, delete one.
The rest is either self-explanatory or it has been answered in this thread. Please also search for answers on the forums, there isn’t a single issue here that hasn’t been addressed before.

thanks Farottone! I’ll search here for the other issues!
about the gems… I am looking to the section 51:3, and it is the same as the others! in the easy mode, actually, the notes are smaller than the others, and I can’t select them. what is the faster way to correct this? erase all the easy part? if so, how if I can’t select these strange notes?
December 20, 2015 at 11:42 pm #461026To select all notes of the same value, secondary-click on the note name they are assigned to.
For example, assuming you’re right-handed, if you right-click “EASY Orange”, all of the orange notes on easy difficulty will be selected.
If you only want to select a specific range of notes, secondary-click and drag a box over the notes.

thanks Oddbrother, it really worked!
AMEN! OMGosh! after 3 days trying to make a really simple and basic custom with only a guitar fof chart and the ogg audio that came with it, I FINALLY DID IT! I’ve just played on my xbox I am SO excited! (almost crying… I don’t know)
this time I did different… I duplicated the guitar_track and dragged the fof chart file to the new duplicated track. after that, I selected only the chords colors from expert, color by color line, and paste in the original guitar_track. since that freakin gems problems were with easy and hard tracks, I only did the expert this time (so sad for that ), but even this way, another error happen… “ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART GUITAR): MIDI events at [92:4:120] after the end event at [92:4:000]”.
BUT this time I could find the error! at the event_track the “FINAL” text was at the 92:4:0:0, and all I had to do was put it to the end, after the song and guitar_track… and now it’s finished!
now I’ll try to copy paste the other difficulties too… hope it works
thanks for now!
December 21, 2015 at 1:25 pm #461049Yay! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> Install CAT and once you do that you can use the “Clean up notes’ length” and “Fix sustains” commands to clean your FoF too short and too long notes. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
