Close up shots lasting too long

      Im having trouble with these particular shots:

      • [directed_bass_cls] = fretboard shot
      • [directed_guitar_cls] = fretboard shot
      • [directed_drums_kd] = drummer’s kick pedal

      For whatever reason they seem to ignore the next camera shot and continue on for a good few seconds and THEN go to the shot after the one it’s supposed to. The shots themselves are supposed to be about 3 – 4 seconds long, so it’s not a quick jump or anything. Am I missing something?

      The length of camera cuts depend on the beat track, and the animation speed setting in magma. If you feel the length is consistently off, try fiddling with either.

       

      Another thing you can try is duplicating the directed cut and placing the second one just before the cut you actually want.

      I recall reading somewhere that this sometimes works, but the exact set of circumstances were never explained completely.

        If I remember correctly, this was a common bug that was discussed quite a bit during the RBN era and the common solution to it was to place a “fake” generic camera cut directly after the directed cut so that the game ignores that one instead.
