I originally created 2 custom song packs: one with 182 songs and the other with 102 songs. They originally worked with no issues, until I downloaded 2 of the new Muse tracks that were officially released yesterday. I hadn’t realized that I already had older versions of the two songs already in those packs. With newer versions released I wanted to delete the older versions from the game, but because they were in packs, I couldn’t delete them directly from my Xbox. So I opened the packs in the quick pack editor, removed the songs, and repacked the pack. When I relaunched the game, the Muse tracks didn’t work. Both were shown with white album covers, so I knew they didn’t work. I deleted all the packs from my flash drive while in-game just to make sure there would not be any problems. I had downloaded more songs prior that I wanted to make into packs, so I thought that I could fix it by depacking the packs and recreating them into smaller, more easy to manage packs. In total I created seven smaller packs. When I went back into the game, more songs didn’t work. I went to delete the songs, but the game still recognized the song I tried deleting as being a part of the original 182 song pack, which was deleted previously and replaced with smaller packs.
Any help would really be appreciated. It seems as though the problem stems directly from deleting the song from the very first pack using quick pack editor and making that pack into smaller packs.
Sorry the post was so long. I really just wanted to be as thorough as possible.
I NEVER say this, but this time you really need to delete your cache file. Once a song is loaded in the cache, changing ID but not filename leads to issues and packs are even more of an headache to update, cache-wise. Remember that deleting the cache will forfait all your customs scores, except for the songs built with the delete-proof system.
I deleted the cache and everything works again. Thank you very much! : )
