Syncing MIDI with WAV File?

      I’m brand new to this, so sorry if this is a dumb question.

       

      I have a bunch of MIDI files. I tried to just use a .wav file of the song of interest straight from the album, but when I tried it on RB3 the audio and the chart were off sync. I figure that I have to “offset” the .wav file by a certain number of seconds to sync up in a program like Audacity, but I was wondering how I’d go about finding out how long that offset has to be.

        This is WAY too basic of a question, you need to at least either read the docs or one of our tutorials. It’s like wanting to learn how to drive and ask why yelling “car, go to destination!” doesn’t work. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
