I have been using TrojanNemos very handy C3 Custom Tools. I have the following questions hopefully someone can enlighten me …

    1) why is there a Create Animation Events button AND Create Drums Animations..? Does the Drums animations button simply offer more options…? …. if so, to save slight confusion would it not have been preferable to (in Create Animation Events), include the extra Drum options – coded such that they appear when the dropdown for Drums is selected..?

    2) onto the Drums options in the Create Drums Animations button..

    a) Crash1 as default Crash…? (presumably the animated kit on screen has 2 crashes…?) What exactly does this checkbox do when ticked / unticked…?

 Soft as default for Snare/Crash…. What exactly does this checkbox do when ticked / unticked…?

    c) Min Cymbal Hits… what is the purpose/function of this option…?

    d) Make Snare & Y Toms flams…

if this is unticked… Snare and Y Tom are hit at the same time but on each pad

if this is ticked… strike is a flam with both sticks on the Snare … is this correct…?

I guess this is all at animation level so makes no difference at all to the gameplay…

    Thanks in advance.

It’s CAT, I’m lead project on that one so I’m gonna go ahead an answer myself. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

      1) Because they serve different purposes… If you want to just insert the play/idle/etc. markers you use one, if you want to create drums animations you use the other. If you want to do all animations in one go you use the Automatic Animations superset.

      2) Everything in there is explained either in the RBN docs (http://pksage.com/rbndocs/index.php?tit … _Authoring, Animtions section) or in the CAT docs (http://bit.ly/1GF2iqh). I obviously don’t mind explaining commands and functions in more details but in this case it seems you skipped the whole “reading the docs first” thing so I’d rather you go through that step first and then answer what still is not clear to you. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”> And yes, the flam option ticked makes both hands hit the snare, the flam option unticked makes each hand hit their respective pad (snare and tom1).
