The “IGN: First” for May features Rock Band 4!
http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/05/01/ … -ign-first
There’s kind of a behind the scenes video teaser on the page.
“Join us all month long as we debut the game’s biggest new features, its first batch of confirmed songs, its upgraded instruments, and much more.
And while the entire month will be full of hard-rockin’ awesomeness, you’ll want to particularly mark your calendar for Friday, May 15 at 12pm PT/3pm ET/8pm GMT/6am AEST (Thursday) for our one-hour world gameplay reveal of Rock Band 4, live with Harmonix in our studio. “
May 1, 2015 at 7:19 pm #444299I came here to see if anyone had posted about this yet. So that new “behind the scenes” seemed to show quite a bit if you know what you are looking at. What did all you eagle eyed guys see? It seemed like they were charting keys within Reaper at one point? Also, I noticed on that IGN First page they specifically mention 4 players. Hopefully that doesn’t mean harmonies are out ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
May 1, 2015 at 7:25 pm #444300Video seems to show RB3 footage, not RB4. But yeah they’re using REAPER to chart as expected. Looking forward to the reveals.
May 1, 2015 at 7:47 pm #444304What is this IGN First thingymajob?
Also, there is a headscratcher in the comments. One guy says, paraphrased, that he is more interested in GH now because it is just guitar again and he has trouble gathering friends for a band experience. When did Rock Band start requiring the entire band to be present to play?
May 1, 2015 at 7:55 pm #444306Four seconds into the video I think I see the pksage wiki up on the screen lol. “Auto Generating Vocal Parts”
EDIT: Here is a screenshot:
EDIT 2: Game renders/graphics?
New feature “Stage Presence”

May 1, 2015 at 8:00 pm #444311When did Rock Band start requiring the entire band to be present to play?I think it’s mandatory in Vermont.

May 1, 2015 at 8:59 pm #444321Sorry. My reaction to the screenshot.
May 2, 2015 at 2:14 am #444354I’m already prepared to not be impressed. We’ll just find out which songs were unfortunate enough to release with the game seeing as it can only be a lesser game with prettier graphics.
May 2, 2015 at 2:33 am #444358I’m already prepared to not be impressed. We’ll just find out which songs were unfortunate enough to release with the game seeing as it can only be a lesser game with prettier graphics. Some of you are way too salty about the Keys shit.
May 2, 2015 at 3:08 am #444363Hey, we’re allowed to be disappointed. The RB forums are already awash with protesting Keys enthusiasts, so I won’t rehash all the arguments here, but for the people who shelled out to jump on the Keys train and tailored their DLC purchases with an eye toward keyboard-centric songs, it sucks to get left out in the cold. Too many songs that are amazing with Keys are going to feel hollow without them – I mean, what are Sympathy For The Devil,
, or Piano Man without the piano?
May 2, 2015 at 10:40 am #444383Hey, we’re allowed to be disappointed.Of course. It’s just that the “lesser game” argument is invalid. RB3 didn’t have duels, which should have made it a “lesser game”, because it had at least one feature less than RB2. Any game that has at least one prominent feature removed should then be considered “lesser”, and it’s not a great logic.
May 2, 2015 at 1:09 pm #444393How does IGN First work? Do they release videos everyday?
