Hey guys, as you all know roughly in October we’ll be going on hiatus as a group. We are thinking of a great way to go out with a bang and we have a couple of ideas. Right now I wanted to share a few things I personally thought of (meaning this thread is generally addressed to my admin mates too, so we don’t duplicate discussions) and one we are debating with the admins.
So my general idea is having a sendoff month, with 4 final releases before Rock Band 4 is out.
Week #1 – A nice fat GH conversions pack, featuring maybe some already released and polished up songs and songs not already converted. This would pay tribute to GHtoRB3, which really put full band customs on the map, and it would be fairly easier to do because solid authors already have done conversions that we can spruce up and because conversions are easier to do and playtest.
Week #2 – The All Star pack, with one, and only one, song from each author. I would personally love to see as many past and current authors pitch in, it would really be amazing to have many of our great authors who released songs through C3 deliver one more song, a song they choose with no restrictions, to have a general sense of closure.
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>Week #3 – The Legacy pack, a big bucket of customs to keep people who are not making the jump to RB4 because of money, lack of keys or whatever, entertained for a long time. This is the perfect time to release your long overdue songs and also you can use anything that can’t make it to week #2 because of the only 1 song limit.
Week #4 – This is the one idea we are working on. It’s one single song, we’ll be discussing that as soon as we have finalised it.
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>It would really be amazing if we could get as many author as possible to pitch in for week #2, so I really look forward to people pitching in and possibly helping out in contacting authors. For Week #3 I’m gonna personally reserve quite a few songs we don’t need anymore to keep the weekly flame going, so we should have a nice starting base. I’ll be reserving the second post to have the usual draft for songs before we make it to the scheduler.

Sounds like a nice idea, but I would reconsider the name from the ominous End of Days to perhaps End of an Era or something that signifies one ending but also another beginning, whereas End of Days suggests something entirely different

Sounds like a nice idea, but I would reconsider the name from the ominous End of DaysIt’s just the title of the thread AND another biblical reference to keep the Rapture theme.

The GH convert I’d like to contribute for sure is Dancing Through Sunday by AFI from GH6. And most likely Take This Life by In Flames from GH3 since it’s mostly done.
I also have a few BH songs in the works. They’ll probably be a pack before we get to these last 4 weeks though.

I can easily contribute to Week #1. I have a least 6+ songs ready for playtesting, so there’s a head start for ya!!
If I decide to participate in Week #2, I’ll submit “Forget Not” by Ne Obliviscaris. No, not because of any puns related to the name and the theme of the whole event, but because it’s one of my all-time favorite songs, and also one I’ve always wanted to see in the game.
Since I would like to do some BH conversions, the sooner you guys list what you want to take care of, the better.

I say planned, but I’ve really only started on Gasoline, the other two I haven’t touched apart from Happy Together’s drums. If anyone wants to, they can take over for Happy Together or So Yesterday.

I had done those pre-C3 and I believe both got help from Nyx and espher, so they should be in pretty decent condition to start from rather than starting from scratch.
I could probably do stuff for week 2 and 3. I just need to find some of the songs I never got around to finishing and I could use those.

Most of the other conversions I have are from other games.
Week 2: I’m looking to finish up Styx – Come Sail Away which was kinda put on the backburner for my other packs recently.
Week 3: I’m going to try and get out some of my WIPs which have notable keys for the rb3 legacy.
