I am getting errors in Magma when I try to build my song. Here is the first bit:

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Overlapping or too-close gems at [33] for difficulty expert

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Overlapping or too-close gems at [34] for difficulty expert

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Overlapping or too-close gems at [34] for difficulty expert

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): Overlapping or too-close gems at [34] for difficulty expert

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): 3 simultaneous drum pad hits at [45]; maximum is 2 pads plus kick

EDIT: Okay I figured it out. If anyone else has this problem, just select all the notes, and press ‘q’ to quantize the notes.

Usually becomes an error due to coping and pasting. REAPER has this issue when pasting notes where it will offset the past ever so slightly.

Always quantize your notes when finished, yes. Glad to see you figured it out easily!

Oh okay I was copying and pasting a lot, thanks.

Nope, absolutely not. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> Never select all notes and quantize unless you are 100% sure all notes are on the same grid and you have selected the lowest used grid division. If you have 1/16T notes and you select 1/16 as grid division, you destroy placements for your triplets.
